Fantasy Tip: Jones could see some time on offense this season but probably will be behind Latavius Murray and DeAndre Washington on the depth chart. Owners in all leagues probably can avoid Jones in their drafts.

Oakland Raiders RB DeAndre Washington likely will receive a solid role in the offense because the coaching staff thinks he can contribute right away. He could be used as a third-down back that can run inside and be a receiver out of the backfield. Washington can be a complement to RB Latavius Murray since they have different skills.
Fantasy Tip: It appears Washington has a good chance to win the No. 2 running back job and can see a decent amount of playing time. He should be a solid late-round running back in most fantasy leagues and should be an attractive player in keeper leagues.

Oakland Raiders RB Roy Helu (hip) may be on the roster bubble during training camp because RBs DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard have similar skill sets to Helu. Helu also missed all of the offseason workouts because of his hip injury.
Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye on the competition to see if Helu will need to find a job with another team. He likely will see limited playing time no matter where he plays and will not be a strong fantasy option.

Oakland Raiders CB David Amerson said he increased his work ethic and worked on the little things to improve as a player after being cut by the Washington Redskins. Amerson also credited encouragement from former teammates for helping improve his confidence and his game. Oakland coaches played a big role as well, according to Amerson. The cornerback's improvement and performance led him to a contract extension this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: When you think of the term "gunslinger," you think of a high-touchdown output and someone that takes more risks, which lead to more interceptions. Carr threw for 3,987 yards, 32 touchdowns and 13 interceptions last season. There is room to grow from there, but taking him as anything more than a low-end QB1 would be a risk.

Oakland Raiders LB Khalil Mack has made quite the impression on LB Malcolm Smith. "I've never seen anybody like Khalil Mack," Smith said. "I don't think I played against a player who's kind of dominant as Khalil is in a one-on-one setting, even a two-on-one setting."

Oakland Raiders DE Jihad Ward has seen time with the first-team defense during OTAs, and beat writer Scott Bair believes Ward will see time as a rotational player along the defensive line as a rookie.

Oakland Raiders CB D.J. Hayden saw more snaps as the slot cornerback with the first-team defense than any other player during spring practices, and head coach Jack Del Rio praised Hayden's development.

Oakland Raiders RB Taiwan Jones and CB T.J. Carrie are the favorites for kick and punt return duties heading into training camp. WR Joe Hansley, RB DeAndre Washington, WR Jaydon Mickens and CB Antonio Hamilton could also be in the mix.

Oakland Raiders CBs D.J. Hayden and T.J. Carrie will compete for the starting nickel cornerback position in training camp. Hayden did receive significant time at the position during offseason workouts, though. CB Neiko Thorpe (undisclosed) is also expected to be in the mix after missing minicamp with an undisclosed injury.
