Oakland Raiders LB Khalil Mack is more physical than Denver Broncos LB Von Miller, according to head coach Jack Del Rio, who coached Miller in Denver. Defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. lauded Mack for his explosion, speed, size and strength.
Fantasy Tip: Mack is a player to keep an eye on in IDP leagues. He managed 75 total sacks and four sacks in his rookie season last year and has been the talk of the team this offseason.

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (finger) threw a few passes during organized team activities Tuesday, June 2, as he continues to recover from an injury on the ring finger of his throwing hand. The injury is not considered serious. There is no timetable for when Carr will really start throwing or how long the recovery will take.
Fantasy Tip: Carr at least seems to be improving, as he had not thrown passes in previous weeks. The recovery still seems to be taken some time. Fortunately for Carr and the Raiders, they still have a couple months until training camp and the preseason begin. Even when healthy, Carr is not a starting fantasy quarterback and should be drafted as a QB2.

Oakland Raiders TE Clive Walford is garnering praise from head coach Jack Del Rio and tight ends coach Bobby Johnson during organized team activities. Walford averaged 3.26 Yards Per Route Run last season, which was No. 1 among draft-eligible tight ends, according to Pro Football Focus. Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle described Walford as a better route runner than Maxx Williams, who was the first tight end selected in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Tip: Walford will need to first make the team and then beat out returning No. 1 tight end Mychal Rivera for playing time. Walford won't be an option in standard fantasy drafts, but he could emerge as a FantasyScore option as the season winds on.

Fantasy Tip: No further information was provided on Carr's injury, so it's unclear whether it's his throwing arm/hand. He still has plenty of time to recover before training camp starts, so stay tuned. Even at full health he's not starting fantasy quarterback material.

Fantasy Tip: Carr has plenty of time to prepare for training camp and does not need to participate in offseason workouts. Carr has some solid weapons to work with on offense and could be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback for owners next season.

Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (finger) is experiencing numbness in his right ring finger. He hopes to avoid surgery through rest and rehab, and no one close to the situation appears to be overly concerned, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Fantasy Tip: Carr is a rising fantasy commodity but needs to get this issue resolved before the offseason activities really heat up. Stay tuned, but be aware this could be a symptom of a larger medical problem. He is a high-upside QB2.

Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (finger) has a right ring finger injury that could be surgically repaired. A return for training camp is still achievable, however, according to a source.
Fantasy Tip: Another source has reported that Carr's injury is minor. Surgery is always a risky proposition, but he will have plenty of time to recover. If he is able to return for training camp, he should be fine for the regular season.

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (undisclosed) was not a participant in practice during organized team activities Tuesday, May 19. Carr's injury has not been disclosed, but it is minor, according to a source, and he should be back for minicamp.
Fantasy Tip: Carr finished with respectable rookie campaign in 2014, and a new-look offense and new offensive coordinator could provide more success, but Carr doesn't deserve starter consideration in any scoring format.
