Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray had a limited role in the team's third preseason game Saturday, Aug. 27, against the Tennessee Titans, but head coach Jack Del Rio said it is not indicative of Murray's job being in question. "We saw him last year. We need to find out who will be the backup," Del Rio said.
Fantasy Tip: Murray didn't do much in his limited snaps and touches, but he is the unquestioned No. 1 tailback in Oakland and a solid low-end RB1 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

Fantasy Tip: Holton, a boyhood friend of teammate Julio Jones, had a strong third preseason game and might be closing in on a roster spot. However, he would likely be the No. 4 or 5 receiver in Oakland if he makes the team, therefore his fantasy appeal would be minimal to start.

Oakland Raiders FS Reggie Nelson (knee) is not expected to play against the Tennessee Titans Saturday, Aug. 27, according to head coach Jack Del Rio. Nelson did not practice this week and sat out the Raiders' offseason program with a knee issue. FS Nate Allen should see additional repetitions in Nelson's place.

Oakland Raiders WR Seth Roberts hasn't been standing out in training camp or the preseason, as he head coach Jack Del Rio did not seem overly impressed Tuesday, Aug. 23. "I would say Seth has been OK. Yeah, he's been OK. He made a really nice catch last week in practice. I think he's been working at it. I think he's starting to feel pushed a little bit, which is what we'd like to have. Yeah, he's been a good player for us," Del Rio said.
Fantasy Tip: Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Roberts, who is battling Andre Holmes for No. 3 duties behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. Even if he settles into the third receiver job in Oakland, he should only be considered as a WR5 in most fantasy formats.

Oakland Raiders DE Mario Edwards Jr. (hip) and TE Gabe Holmes (ankle) will not play in the preseason game Thursday, Aug. 18, against the Green Bay Packers, and LB Ben Heeney (leg) and RB Jalen Richard (knee) are questionable to play.

Oakland Raiders RB DeAndre Washington has grabbed hold of the No. 2 running back job heading into the team's second preseason game. "We've been seeing signs during camp of improving the running game," said head coach Jack Del Rio.
Fantasy Tip: Washington was impressive in the preseason opener, rushing for 43 yards on eight carries, not to mention while adding a 32-yard reception out of the backfield. If he were on some other teams, he'd have a better opportunity to make an impact, but with Latavius Murray comfortably entrenched as the starter in Oakland, Washington's fantasy outlook for 2016 will likely be minimal in most leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Murray received 266 carries last season and should be able to handle more this season. He should be a focal point for the Raiders this season and can be a No. 2 running back in most leagues.

Oakland Raiders TE Gabe Holmes (ankle) could be sidelined for several weeks due to a significant ankle injury and the possibility exists that he could be placed on season-ending injured reserve. He suffered the injury in the preseason opener versus the Arizona Cardinals Friday, Aug. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Atkinson is competing for a roster spot and gave the coaches a great first impression with his performance. He probably would be the No. 3 or 4 running back if he makes the team and would not have much fantasy value.
