Fantasy Tip: Carr has plenty of time to prepare for training camp and does not need to participate in offseason workouts. Carr has some solid weapons to work with on offense and could be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback for owners next season.

Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (finger) is experiencing numbness in his right ring finger. He hopes to avoid surgery through rest and rehab, and no one close to the situation appears to be overly concerned, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Fantasy Tip: Carr is a rising fantasy commodity but needs to get this issue resolved before the offseason activities really heat up. Stay tuned, but be aware this could be a symptom of a larger medical problem. He is a high-upside QB2.

Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (finger) has a right ring finger injury that could be surgically repaired. A return for training camp is still achievable, however, according to a source.
Fantasy Tip: Another source has reported that Carr's injury is minor. Surgery is always a risky proposition, but he will have plenty of time to recover. If he is able to return for training camp, he should be fine for the regular season.

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (undisclosed) was not a participant in practice during organized team activities Tuesday, May 19. Carr's injury has not been disclosed, but it is minor, according to a source, and he should be back for minicamp.
Fantasy Tip: Carr finished with respectable rookie campaign in 2014, and a new-look offense and new offensive coordinator could provide more success, but Carr doesn't deserve starter consideration in any scoring format.

Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray is looking forward to being the Raiders' starting running back in 2015. "It's a great feeling, but every day I have to go in there knowing I need to get better every day," Murray said. "Every season is a new year for me and it's a year I have to go out and prove something."
Fantasy Tip: Murray will be competing with Roy Helu and Trent Richardson, primarily, for the starting position, but Murray is the favorite with Darren McFadden now in Dallas, especially after running for 424 yards in just three starts last season. If/when he does start, he'll be in RB2 territory.

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper made a quick impact in the first day of rookie minicamp Friday, May 8, bursting past CB Dexter McDonald to catch a deep touchdown pass. "It went exactly how I thought it would go," Cooper said. "It went pretty good. I made a couple of plays. We looked good out there as a team.
Fantasy Tip: Cooper was considered the most NFL-ready receiver in this year's draft, and he will likely be Oakland's go-to receiver in his rookie season. He should be a safe WR3 in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Walford's size could make him a popular safety valve for Derek Carr and a potential weapon in the red zone. Walford is a rookie worth monitoring in 2015, and he could be worth a flier in leagues that require two tight ends.

Fantasy Tip: Owners need to be careful not to overdraft Cooper and the rest of the 2015 rookie wideouts following 2014's outstanding class of receivers. With questions surrounding the Raiders as a team and QB Derek Carr's abilities, Cooper should be drafted as a wide receive four or five, but he'll have WR3 upside.

Fantasy Tip: Jones had a 73-666-6 season with Oakland last year and is still well worth a WR4 spot in PPR leagues when he lands on a new team.
