New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee) and WR Brandon Marshall (foot) each practiced in full Friday, Oct. 28. Forte did not participate in practice the previous day, though he did manage to get in a limited session Wednesday, Oct. 26. Marshall sat out the first practice of the week before practicing on a limited basis Thursday, Oct. 27.
Fantasy Tip: This should take away any concern and put them both on track to play in Sunday's favorable matchup with the Cleveland Browns. Forte logged his first 100-yard rushing effort since Week 2 last weekend, while also adding a receiving touchdown, so he'll be entering this affair with a lot of momentum. Meanwhile, Marshall put up an undesirable line in that game, but with Ryan Fitzpatrick back under center for the Jets, the 32-year-old should be able to sustain his WR1 value. Marshall caught a career-high 14 touchdown passes last season from Fitz, remember.

Fantasy Tip: Powell took a backseat to Matt Forte again last week, but Forte could be limited in Week 8. Powell's fantasy ceiling will always be stinted if and as long as Forte plays, but Powell is still a low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 option in PPR leagues.

Fantasy Tip: It will be surprising if Marshall doesn't suit up for Week 8. Keep an eye on Joe Haden's status too. If Haden is sidelined then Marshall will have an easier time getting open. Even if Haden plays, Marshall is a mid-range WR1 consideration.

Fantasy Tip: It's certainly discouraging that Forte went from being limited yesterday to not practicing today. If he misses practice again tomorrow then there is cause for real concern. If he does play he has one of the better matchups of the week against a Cleveland Browns defense that is surrendering over 100 yards and one touchdown per game to running backs.

In Week 8, New York Jets RB Matt Forte will face a Cleveland Browns rush defense that ranks 31st in the NFL. The Browns have allowed 139.9 yards per game with seven rushing touchdowns. The Browns are also 29th in the league in pass defense, giving up 285.7 yards per game with 18 touchdowns.
Fantasy Tip: Forte could be ready for his biggest performance since finding the end zone three times against the Buffalo Bills in mid-September. He is a must-start in all fantasy formats this weekend despite some shaky games recently.

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall will meet the Cleveland Browns in Week 8. The Browns have yielded 285.7 yards per game through the air, ranking 29th in the NFL. The Browns have given up an AFC-high 29 pass plays of 20 or more yards.
Fantasy Tip: Marshall is a solid WR1 in all fantasy formats. At a minimum he should hit the century mark with at least one visit to the end zone.

New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will face the Cleveland Browns in Week 8 with QB Geno Smith (knee) out for the season. Fitzpatrick gets a chance to shred a Browns pass defense allowing 285.7 yards per game through the air, ranking 29th in the NFL. They are also tied for the league lead with 18 pass touchdowns allowing with an AFC-high 29 pass plays of 20 or more yards.
Fantasy Tip: Fitzpatrick has been a turnover machine, but the Browns have managed just six interceptions in seven games. If ever there was a week to stream Fitzpatrick, Week 8 is the time. He is also a sensible DFS option if you want to save salary to spread across other positions.
