Fantasy Tip: Pierce will be in a logjam with the Jets behind Matt Forte, Bilal Powell, Khiry Robinson and possibly Zac Stacy. He offers no fantasy value right now.

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall arrived at camp Wednesday, July 27, at 224.8 pounds, which is 10 pounds lighter than he was last season. Six weeks ago, he weighed 244 pounds, and he was instructed to get under 230 pounds.
Fantasy Tip: While it's great that he appears in great shape, there are concerns when you drop a lot of weight in a short time period. For one, it's usually not sustainable. It could also play a factor in propensity to injury. Your body isn't accustomed to being at said condition, and alarms can emerge, especially playing such a physical sport. Marshall at age 32, in his 11th season, is someone to monitor in training camp. He's coming off a brilliant 109-1,502-14 season, and he's a consideration as a low-end WR1.

Fantasy Tip: He threw for 3,905 yards and 31 touchdowns last season and added two rushing scores. At 33, the question looms can he repeat that performance? He's better to have as a QB2 in fantasy.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzpatrick was great last season, but he's 33 and had never approached last season's showing before. With a dearth of quarterbacks in the low-end QB1 mix on the cusp, you shouldn't take him as anything more than a QB2.

Fantasy Tip: Neither side has blinked yet. Fitzpatrick would likely start if he does re-sign, but that's obviously not a guarantee. If Geno Smith remains the Jets' starter, he shouldn't be drafted as a fantasy starter. If Fitz does come back then he'll be in low-end QB1 to high-end QB2 territory coming off a career year in which he threw for nearly 4,000 yards and 31 touchdowns.

New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis (wrist) has yet to test his surgically repaired wrist in contact drills this offseason. His health is one of the key storylines to track once the Jets' training camp begins.

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles will not be heavily involved in the offense despite uncertainty at the quarterback position. "I know what's going on and I trust Chan completely. I know the plays we run and I know what everybody is supposed to do, right or wrong. I understand busted assignments and things like that. I'm up to speed because I've been in the offense a year as well."

Free-agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (Jets) has received multiple offers to choose between from the New York Jets. The Jets have offered a three-year, $24 million deal with $15 million guaranteed and at least one other offer.
Fantasy Tip: Fitzpatrick was great last season, but he's 33 and had never come close to last season's showing before. With a dearth of quarterbacks in the low-end QB1 mix on the cusp, you shouldn't take him as anything more than a QB2.

New York Jets QB Geno Smith remains in line to start with the contract impasse between the organization and free-agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. Head coach Todd Bowles said he is confident in Smith as the starter. "I think Geno can be a good starter, but he's got to prove it in training camp like everybody else," Bowles said. "It's not just about the quarterback position. You got to have a team around that position to play ball, but he's been in the system a year. He has a better grasp of it going into training camp and we'll see what he does."
Fantasy Tip: Smith has completed 57.9 percent of his 852 career pass attempts for 5,836 yards, 27 touchdowns and 36 interceptions. His first full season was a train wreck, but his 2014 wasn't all that bad. He also has that dual-threat dimension to make him a really, really poor man's Cam Newton when he is under center. If he hangs onto the starting job he is a Top 25 fantasy option at his position.

New York Jets WR Devin Smith (knee) is expected to begin the regular season on the Physically Unable to Perform list. If he does start on the PUP list, he will miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season.
Fantasy Tip: Quincy Enunwa seems to be the favorite to be the No. 3 wide receiver with Smith ailing. Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker will see most of the targets, though, so Enunwa should only be considered as a deep flier in later rounds. Smith can be avoided altogether if he does indeed start the season on the PUP list.

Fantasy Tip: It's to be expected that a running back at Forte's age and with Forte's workload wouldn't be a bellcow anymore. He's still the Jets' top option at the position, though, and should be viewed as a high-end RB2.

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa currently has the inside track on being the No. 3 wide receiver. He will battle with WRs Kenbrell Thompkins, Jalin Marshall and Devin Smith (knee) for roster spots and playing time behind WRs Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker.
Fantasy Tip: Marshall and Decker are both viable No. 2 receivers for your fantasy squad and also provide a reliable floor. There's a tremendous falloff after them, though. Additionally, there isn't a lot of fantasy value for the third receiver in the passing game, especially if tight end Jace Amaro reestablishes himself as a pass catcher. At this point, Enunwa and Thompkins are potential late-round fliers in deep leagues, but they are likely best left to the waiver wire. Marshall and Smith don't currently move the fantasy needle.
