Jets | Austin Seferian-Jenkins makes debut

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 15:35:18 -0700

New York Jets TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins caught five passes for 31 yards in his season debut Sunday, Sept. 24, against the Miami Dolphins. Seferian-Jenkins had been suspended for substance-abuse issues for the first two games.

Fantasy Tip: Seferian-Jenkins is in the same boat many Jets players are. As QB Josh McCown goes, so does the team. Keep an eye on how Seferian-Jenkins does from here out.

Jets | Robby Anderson leads receiving corps

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 15:06:07 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson caught three of his six targeted passes for 95 yards, including a 69-yard strike from QB Josh McCown, in a 20-6 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Take away the big catch and Anderson has 26 yards receiving, which isn't too impressive. Still, the fact a Jets receiver may be counted on is a good thing. He saw a solid amount of targets on Sunday, but McCown's up-and-down tendencies still make Anderson a risky play.

Jets | Matt Forte struggles in Week 3

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 14:54:21 -0700

New York Jets RB Matt Forte ran eight times for 25 yards in a 20-6 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Forte was gone for part of the game due to a toe injury, which depressed his stats. Still, you may want to find other options if Forte continues to struggle in a RB-by-committee setup.

Jets | Bilal Powell rebounds slightly in Week 3

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 14:44:02 -0700

New York Jets RB Bilal Powell ran 15 times for 37 yards and scored one touchdown in a 20-6 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Last week Powell was non-existent, this week Powell led the rushing attack. No one back really stood out for the Jets. Powell is still a risky play because you never know which player will show up, and the Jets are a mixed bag at the RB spot.

Jets | Josh McCown turns in solid Week 3 effort

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 14:15:21 -0700

New York Jets QB Josh McCown completed 18 of his 23 passes for 249 yards, including a 69-yard TD pass to WR Robby Anderson, in a 20-6 win Sunday, Sept. 24, against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: It was a strong effort, but McCown is still a risky option who may be best as a flex QB, especially with the surprisingly hot Jacksonville Jaguars on tap for Week 4. If he can put a dent in Jacksonville's efforts, then McCown may rise up the charts a bit.

Jets | Matt Forte out with injury

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 12:28:40 -0700

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (toe) suffered a toe injury in Week 3 and is considered questionable to return.

Fantasy Tip: Forte has been part of a committee at running back this season but entered Week 3 as the team's leading running back. Owners should look for an update on Forte's status in the next day or two but should be able to find better options to use most weeks.

Jets | Austin Seferian-Jenkins may have bigger role

Sat, 23 Sep 2017 11:52:25 -0700

New York Jets TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins could receive a bigger role in the offense in Week 3 if TE Will Tye (illness) is not able to play.

Fantasy Tip: The Jets probably would want to ease Seferian-Jenkins into the offense since he missed the first two games of the season, but he could receive some targets this week. Owners should avoid Seferian-Jenkins this week, but he could have some fantasy value later in the season.

Jets | Darron Lee has support of coach

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 18:58:39 -0700

New York Jets LB Darron Lee is going to continue to play inside linebacker, according to head coach Todd Bowles. "He'll be fine," Bowles said. "Linebackers hit and shed big linemen all day, every day. That's their job."

Jets | Matt Forte removed from injury report

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 13:17:03 -0700

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee) was removed from the injury report after fully practicing Friday, Sept. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Forte saw an uptick in touches last week but remains part of what will be a weekly headache as a trident backfield -- one that figures to struggle more often than not, mind you. Avoid him in all situations where a clearer path to stable point production is available.

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 13:10:19 -0700
