John Brennan, of the Bergen Record, reports New Jersey Assemblyman Anthony Chiappone is planning to introduce legislation when the Assembly returns this fall that would prohibit any New Jersey team from issuing personal seat licenses. Chiappone said, "Sadly, the Giants management is literally putting a price tag on loyalty. The years that countless fans have spent in the same seats cheering through good times and the bad are now worthless. Thousands more who have spent generations on the season ticket list will now see their rightful place taken by someone whose only prerequisite is the ability to write a big check." The New York Giants announced last week a one-time personal seat license fee of $1,000 to $20,000 per seat for their entire new stadium. The New York Jets are expected to announce their version by the end of August.
