Jets | Austin Seferian-Jenkins the starter?

Thu, 13 Jul 2017 19:33:27 -0700

New York Jets TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins "looks like the clear starter" ahead TE Jordan Leggett and TE Eric Tomlinson because of his edge in talent and experience, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.

Fantasy Tip: Seferian-Jenkins has had some off-field issues, but he appears focused on football. Meanwhile, a lack of weapons in the passing game could lead to plenty of targets this season. He is worth a flier as a TE2.

Jets | Juston Burris a top-three CB for Gang Green?

Wed, 12 Jul 2017 10:08:32 -0700

New York Jets CB Juston Burris is listed as the No. 3 cornerback going into training camp, behind Morris Claiborne and Buster Skrine, according to ESPN.com's Rich Cimini. Skrine is expected to open the season as the No. 2 cornerback and will play inside in nickel personnel, but Cimini expects Burris to overtake him in base formations at some point.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa most efficient on deep balls

Mon, 10 Jul 2017 21:28:43 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa had the highest catch rate on deep targets in the NFL last season, hauling in eight such receptions on 10 tries for 278 yards.

Fantasy Tip: What makes it even more impressive is that Enunwa accomplished this feat with the likes of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Geno Smith and Bryce Petty throwing him the football. Either way, owners shouldn't put too much stock in Enunwa going into fantasy drafts, as the Jets are once again projected to have one of the league's worst offenses, with Josh McCown set to start under center.

Jets | Robby Anderson's job not safe?

Mon, 10 Jul 2017 11:39:30 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson may lose his No. 2 wide receiver position quickly, in the opinion of the New York Post's Brian Costello. Costello believes Anderson needs to become a more complete receiver, including becoming a better route-runner.

Fantasy Tip: The Jets are ultra-thin at wide receiver after the losses of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. Quincy Enunwa is the only The Jets are ultra-thin at wide receiver after the losses of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. Quincy Enunwa is the only Jet receiver worth drafting right now, but Anderson deserves a late-round pick given the lack of depth, skill and talent at that position on that team. Jets | Austin Seferian-Jenkins likes offense

Sat, 08 Jul 2017 18:41:03 -0700

New York Jets TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins said he knows this year's offense more than past offenses, and he likes how offensive coordinator John Morton is making an emphasis to use the tight end.

Fantasy Tip: The athletic talent has always been there, and Seferian-Jenkins appears to be focused on football for once. The Jets don't have many weapons on offense, so he isn't a terrible player to take a flier on in the final rounds of drafts.

Thu, 29 Jun 2017 19:00:53 -0700

Fri, 23 Jun 2017 15:28:00 -0700

Jets | Matt Forte to be workhorse?

Fri, 23 Jun 2017 07:38:46 -0700

New York Jets RB Matt Forte will be the offensive workhorse this season, in the opinion of NJ Advance Media's Connor Hughes.

Fantasy Tip: Forte will be 32 late in the season, and the signs of age have been showing for a couple of years now. Bilal Powell is also waiting in the wings, which doesn't lend to conventional wisdom to use Forte as the workhorse. Forte is still a useful PPR back, but it's only as an RB3.

Fri, 23 Jun 2017 07:38:06 -0700

New York Jets RB Elijah McGuire will have a role with the team this season, according to running backs coach Stump Mitchell. "I like everything (about him)," Mitchell said. "He's got great hands. As a third-down back or simply a back, he can catch the ball extremely well. He has good vision, and a good ability to make cuts. I like him. He's a student of the game and good in the classroom."
