Giants | Sterling Shepard questionable

Fri, 20 Oct 2017 08:15:15 -0700

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) is questionable for Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Shepard is facing the Legion of Boom this week, and the Giants really scaled back their aerial attack last week in a surprising win over the Denver Broncos. You could see them mimicking that approach this week. Shepard could be limited, and Evan Engram might be the only receiving option to use this week.

Giants | Paul Perkins out

Fri, 20 Oct 2017 08:12:03 -0700

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) is out for Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Orleans Darkwa took control of the backfield last week with 21 carries for 117 yards against the best defense against RBs in the league this season. The Seattle Seahawks have been good as well, but Darkwa makes a solid flex choice.

Giants | Changes boost NYG run game

Thu, 19 Oct 2017 20:00:10 -0700

New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan said they revamped the run game to use more traps, quick dives and outside zone prior to their Week 6 game when the Giants rushed 32 times for 148 yards against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Orleans Darkwa rushed for 117 yards against Denver, but it remains to be seen if his performance and the performance of the Giants' running game in general was a fluke. Darkwa is worth stashing, but he is too risky to start against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7.

Giants | Sterling Shepard practicing

Thu, 19 Oct 2017 09:33:42 -0700

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) is practicing Thursday, Oct. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Shepard has the inglorious matchup against the Seattle Seahawks this week, and he's really only a desperation bye-week filler this week. He'll be a top option in the decimated offense.

Giants | Sterling Shepard expects to play

Wed, 18 Oct 2017 17:29:09 -0700

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) said he expects to be able to play against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7 after being able to run some routes and makes some cuts during practice Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Shepard will be the No. 1 receiver when he returns to the lineup and should receive a solid amount of targets. He will be facing a tough Seattle Seahawks secondary but can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in most leagues.

Giants | Sterling Shepard, Paul Perkins limited

Wed, 18 Oct 2017 10:59:24 -0700

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) and RB Paul Perkins (ribs) were able to participate in practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Fantasy Tip: When Shepard is able to make it back on the field, he will immediately assume top receiver responsibilities in this offense following season-ending ankle injuries to Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall. Shepard figures to be a volume-based WR3 going forward, and he and Evan Engram figure to be the only Giants pass-catchers to hold any semblance of fantasy value in what figures to be a very conservative offense. Perkins can be dropped in all but the deepest of leagues.

Giants | Evan Engram has 82 yards and TD

Mon, 16 Oct 2017 05:05:43 -0700

New York Giants TE Evan Engram caught five of his seven targeted passes for 82 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Conventional wisdom had Engram struggling in this game, but instead he broke through for a strong performance. Considering the plight of the Giants receiving corps, Engram may be a decent low-end TE1 or high-end TE2, depending on the matchups.
