New York Giants WR Dwayne Harris (wrist) is showing improvement with his wrist injury, although head coach Ben McAdoo isn't tipping his hand on whether Harris or WR Odell Beckham Jr. will be used in the punt return game in Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. is eager to try his hand at punt returns going forward. With WR Dwayne Harris (wrist) injured, and RB Bobby Rainey benched for fumbling, Beckham had a taste of the return game in the second half in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns. "It's a lot of fun. It's something that I do enjoy. Hopefully I can help this team out that way or whatever way I can," Beckham said Wednesday, Nov. 30.
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners, of course, hate the idea, unless you're a fantasy owner of the Giants DST or in a format which rewards individuals for return yardage. In most standard leagues, there is no benefit to return yardage, but an added risk for injury.

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (thumb) did not appear on the team's injury report Wednesday, Nov. 30. Beckham said the thumb does not bother him until something hits into it. He said the injury might help him. "I have to focus more on catching the ball. I have to really lock in and focus on where I'm placing my hands," Beckham said.
Fantasy Tip: ODB is a must-start fantasy play in any format, and it appears he will play through this nagging injury. If it isn't big enough to keep him from practicing or playing, it certainly isn't something for fantasy owners to be terribly concerned about.

New York Giants OT Justin Pugh (knee) said Wednesday, Nov. 30, was optimistic about his torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee, and said he might be back soon. "I think it depends how I come in (Thursday, Dec. 1) and how I feel and if I practice and that's how it goes from there," said Pugh. "My goal is to feel good every day and keep building off of that, and I think we're heading in the right direction. I'm going to be back sooner than later."

Fantasy Tip: There are still some hurdles to clear, but Vereen is a sneaky stash option with the potential for him to return soon.

Fantasy Tip: That won't do Shepard's fantasy owners any good, as the rookie's unexpected zero-reception, zero-target outing this past weekend may have done some serious damage to teams chasing playoff berths in the penultimate week of most leagues. For those owners still alive and with Shepard on the roster, this is definitely encouraging, as Manning at least recognized that he didn't throw it once to the 23-year-old, and will be looking to atone for that in Week 13. Considering he would typically draw at least seven targets a game, Shepard is worth leaving in starting lineups.

Fantasy Tip: Vereen is still on the Reserve/Injured list and may not return this season, but the Giants are reportedly eyeing a Week 14 return, which means he'll need to start practicing pretty soon. If Vereen makes it back, he'll likely take the place of Paul Perkins and return to his usual pass-catching role. In such a case, Vereen could return the same kind of RB3 value he had prior to his injury.

Fantasy Tip: Perkins has nine or more touches in four straight outings, but he hasn't done a ton with his snaps. He is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry this season and he has yet to find the end zone on 45 total touches this season. He is only worth rostering in the deepest of fantasy leagues at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Cruz has been limited to one catch in each of his past three games. While they have each been big plays, he just isn't getting enough looks to warrant fantasy consideration in most formats.
