New York Giants WR Mario Manningham survived the roster cut to 75 players Tuesday, Aug. 26. Head coach Tom Coughlin said Manningham will get another chance to prove himself, adding that Manningham has done well in practices but it hasn't translated to the actual games. Updating a previous item, New York Giants OG Geoff Schwartz (toe) is dealing with a dislocated right toe, and he'll remain in a walking boot for roughly seven to 10 days and then start his rehab program. Schwartz will be evaluated on a weekly basis regarding his ability to return to football activities. "This is just a minor setback," said Schwartz. "I plan on attacking the rehab program so I can get back on the field as soon as possible with my teammates and help us win games."

New York Giants QB Eli Manning and the rest of the starters will play around 15 to 18 snaps in the team's preseason finale against the New England Patriots Thursday, Aug. 28, according to head coach Tom Coughlin. The Giants offense has struggled in the preseason, and Manning threw his first touchdown pass last week.
Fantasy Tip: The G-Men will not head into Week 1 firing on all cylinders on offense, and it might take a good portion of the early season for them to get on the same page. That doesn't speak well for Manning and the rest of his offensive weapons.

The New York Giants may use a committee approach with their tight ends this season based on different situations, according to head coach Tom Coughlin. "I really think that there'll be a group of guys that'll play that'll help us in different situations and will be matched up according to the circumstance," Coughlin said. "I think that's where it's going to go. I think there's a lot of roles for that spot." TEs Larry Donnell, Adrien Robinson, Daniel Fells and Kellen Davis are expected to make the final roster, but no starter has been named.
Fantasy Tip: None of the tight ends have a lot of fantasy value, and none likely should be drafted in fantasy leagues. Robinson has the most upside and could be a waiver wire pickup during the season if he wins the starting job. Donnell could also have some value if he starts at some point.
