The New York Giants have not expressed interest in acquiring Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, even though the 32-year-old veteran has hinted that he wouldn't mind playing for the team if he doesn't return to the Vikings.
Fantasy Tip: Unless Peterson agrees to take a significant pay cut this offseason, his playing days in Minnesota could be over. He should receive the bulk of the carries wherever he lands and is still capable of being a solid fantasy contributor, although his age and recent injury history mean he should no longer be viewed as an RB1 in most fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson has already said he would have interest in joining the Giants, and with the release of Rashad Jennings, the Giants could be in the market for a back. Wherever Peterson ends up in 2017, he is likely to see enough carries to provide RB2 production.

Fantasy Tip: The Giants are not in a good situation at tight end. They'll address that position this offseason, but stay away from any New York tight end for the time being.

Fantasy Tip: Cruz didn't do a whole lot for the Giants last season. Lack of production, injuries and age make this a logical move for the Giants. Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shephard are now at the helm of the Giants' receiving corps.

Fantasy Tip: The Paul Perkins era can now officially commence. He figures to be the primary running back with Shane Vereen maintaining his pass-catching role, although Perkins is a capable receiver, too. Players in Perkins' situation could be over drafted, though, so don't go bananas just because of the released of Jennings.

Fantasy Tip: Cruz showed some signs of life after two years of debilitating injuries. However, he didn't show the game-breaking ability he had before he tore the patellar tendon in his knee. His final line was 39-586-1, and he'll be 31 in November. He could still be worth a WR5 flyer if he landed in the right situation.

Fantasy Tip: If Vereen returns, he should immediately become a factor in the passing game and have flex value in PPR formats.

Fantasy Tip: Even though Jennings is signed through 2017, this move wouldn't be all that surprising, considering he's on the verge of turning 32 years old and is coming off one of the worst seasons of his career in which he averaged a measly 3.3 yards per carry. Plus, the Giants arguably have their running back of the future in Paul Perkins. Either way, Jennings is trending down in a big way no matter who he plays for.
