Giants | Just three touches for Shane Vereen

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 16:36:05 -0700

New York Giants RB Shane Vereen posted two catches for 18 yards in Week 3 against the Eagles and he rushed just once for five yards.

Fantasy Tip: Vereen was limited to three touches, but he still managed a critical mistake running out of bounds in a key situation to give Philadelphia extra time on the clock. Just three touches helps no fantasy players.

Giants | Evan Engram reels in five balls

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 16:35:34 -0700

New York Giants TE Evan Engram had five catches for 45 yards on seven targets in Week 3 in Philadelphia.

Fantasy Tip: The rookie has carved out a nice role for himself in the offense during the early going. Eli Manning likes to use his tight ends and Engram could be the next fantasy star in the making.

Giants | Brandon Marshall posts eight catches

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 16:34:48 -0700

New York Giants WR Brandon Marshall managed eight receptions for 66 yards on 11 targets in Week 3 at Philadelphia.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall had his first meaningful production of the season, and that was with Odell Beckham Jr. healthy and Sterling Shepard also having a giant day. Marshall remains nothing more than a WR4 heading into Week 4 at Tampa Bay.

Giants | Odell Beckham Jr. hauls in two TDs

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 16:33:59 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. racked up nine receptions for 79 yards and two touchdowns on a game-high 13 targets.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham had a very ordinary 36 yards on four receptions in his first game back on Monday, but he was back to his old self in this one. It appears he is over his ankle injury and it's no longer a concern for his fantasy owners heading into Week 4 in Tampa against a Bucs pass defense torched by Stefon Diggs on Sunday.

Giants | Sterling Shepard explodes for 133 yards, TD

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 16:33:14 -0700

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard posted seven receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 at Philadelphia on 10 targets.

Fantasy Tip: Shepard came alive after managing just two grabs for 23 yards in Week 2, and a total of 67 yards through two outings. He is in the shadow of Odell Beckham Jr., so his fantasy ceiling is a bit limited. However, the Giants should continue chucking the ball early and often since the run game is doing nothing, and that's great news for Shepard's short-term fantasy appeal.

Giants | Paul Perkins goes nowhere fast

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 16:32:44 -0700

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins rushed nine times for 22 yards in Week 3 against the Eagles and he posted two grabs for eight yards on his only two targets.

Fantasy Tip: Perkins and fan favorite Orleans Darkwa are giving the G-Men absolutely nothing on the ground, forcing Eli Manning to heave it early and often. Darkwa left with a back injury, so perhaps Perkins gets more touches and fantasy value in Week 4 at Tampa Bay, although he'd only be worth a roll of the dice in deeper leagues.

Giants | Orleans Darkwa totals eight touches

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 16:31:20 -0700

New York Giants RB Orleans Darkwa rushed seven times for 22 yards in Week 3 against the Eagles and he added one catch for 11 yards on his only target. He left in the second half due to a back injury.

Fantasy Tip: The fan favorite had a 20-yard scamper, but he was mostly stacked up the rest of his attempts. He and rookie Paul Perkins continue to give the Giants nothing in the run game. Perkins might be worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues if Darkwa is unable to play due to the back injury he suffered.

Giants | Eli Manning throws for 366 yards

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 16:30:36 -0700

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 35 of his 47 pass attempts for 366 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 3 game at Philadelphia.

Fantasy Tip: Manning had his best game of the season, by far, despite the fact that he continues to get no help in the run game. He'll look to keep up the good results in Week 4 at Tampa Bay against a pass defense which was torched by Minnesota's Case Keenum on Sunday.

Sat, 23 Sep 2017 06:55:15 -0700

New York Giants TE Evan Engram was fined $12,154 by the National Football League for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty during Week 2's game against the Detroit Lions. Engram was penalized for grabbing his crotch as part of a celebratory dance following his first career touchdown.

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 13:38:15 -0700

New York Giants LB B.J. Goodson (shin), OT Bobby Hart (ankle) and LB J.T. Thomas (groin) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and have been ruled out for Week 3. CB Janoris Jenkins (ankle) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. WR Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) and TE Evan Engram (concussion) were limited during practice but are not on the injury report. LB Keenan Robinson (concussion) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report.

Giants | Evan Engram off injury report

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 13:30:37 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Giants TE Evan Engram (concussion) has cleared the concussion protocol and is no longer on the Week 3 injury report.

Fantasy Tip: Engram should receive his normal workload in Week 3 and could have a big role since several Philadelphia Eagles safeties are dealing with injuries. He could be low-end No. 1 tight end or flex option for owners.

Giants | Odell Beckham limited Friday

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 13:24:10 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 22, but is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham is still dealing with the injury but will be on the field against the Philadelphia Eagles this week. He was held to only 36 yards in Week 2 but should see more targets against a depleted Eagles secondary. Owners should consider Beckham at least a No. 2 fantasy receiver this week.
