Fantasy Tip: K-Rob is questionable to be worthy of drafting as a backup. He's on the fringe of an RB5 grab.

Fantasy Tip: Toon was getting reps with the second team when he was hurt, but his numbers weren't overly thrilling (two catches, 11 yards). Toon will miss out on practice time with this injury and will have to play his way back into an advantageous position.

Fantasy Tip: Cooks should be a safe option as a WR2 this season, and he has a ton of upside thanks to his big-play ability.

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees spent two months working on his mechanics with his throwing coach this offseason, and he said the oblique injury he suffered last summer had an impact throughout the 2014 season.
Fantasy Tip: Brees looked excellent in his first preseason action, and although he wasn't at his best last year, he still tied for the league lead in passing yards. New Orleans is expected to run the ball a bit more in 2015, but Brees should still make a solid QB1.

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees said he expects to play at least a quarter against the New England Patriots Saturday, Aug. 22. Head coach Sean Payton has not confirmed his quarterback rotation yet, though.
Fantasy Tip: Brees enters the 2015 with more risk than ever during his nine-year tenure with the Saints. The offense has a new look in terms of personnel and potentially philosophy, as the running game is expected to be leaned on more heavily. It is worth noting Jimmy Graham, Kenny Stills and Pierre Thomas were targeted 263 times last season, and the Saints only brought in C.J. Spiller (knee) from outside the organization as a replacement. Brees might not be the week-in, week-out starter we've become accustomed to over the past decade. View him as a mid-tier option on draft day.

Fantasy Tip: C.J. Spiller (knee) is out, so it remains to be seen whether this will carry over into the season. It is a great sign, though, as Ingram has only caught 53 balls in four years. Ingram is a mid-to-low RB2, but he could be on the rise.

Fantasy Tip: Coleman could be used as the team's No. 3 wide receiver, and therefore he would see a healthy amount of targets and fantasy appeal. Keep monitoring his progress during the preseason, as he could be worth a late-round flier in leagues of 12 or more teams.

Fantasy Tip: Spiller recently underwent knee surgery and will need several weeks to recover, so he probably will not see any playing time in the preseason. Spiller likely will be part of the passing game this season and could also receive some carries. Spiller probably should be selected in late rounds of drafts, but he should have more value in point-per-reception leagues.

New Orleans Saints WR Brandon Coleman did not see work in the first half of the opening preseason game, but this week he has been featured in three-receiver sets during practice. Head coach Sean Payton said this week that Coleman did nothing wrong, and the team will work to get him more involved in the second preseason game.
Fantasy Tip: Coleman is a player worth watching in the second and third preseason games. If he is able to shine and lock up that No. 3 receiver job, he could make for a nice sleeper late on draft day in deeper leagues.
