New Orleans Saints OG Jahri Evans (knee) underwent arthroscopic knee surgery a week and a half ago, according to head coach Sean Payton. Payton did not give a timetable for Evans' return, but players can return from knee scopes within a month.

Fantasy Tip: Snead ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) had six grabs for 89 yards and could be a decent FantasyScore flyer in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees (shoulder) completed 33 of his 41 pass attempts for 359 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. His 80-yard touchdown pass to RB C.J. Spiller in overtime was the 400th of his career.
Fantasy Tip: Brees ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) made plenty of fantasy owners in standard leagues happy with a 300-yard bonus on that long OT winner. FantasyScore players can safely plug him back into the lineup, as he made it through the game without any setbacks due to the shoulder injury which kept him on the shelf in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Ingram ($7,100, 14.2% of cap) had a healthy yardage total, but no visits to the end zone hurt a little for FantasyScore players. He should have another solid stat line in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: The Saints tried to spring Cooks ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) for a big play on a short catch and run, but the Cowboys did a good job of bottling him up. He should find more open spaces next weekend for FantasyScore players in his Week 5 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: Colston ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) is obviously in the twilight of a fine career, as he has been surpassed by Willie Snead as the secondary option to Brandin Cooks in the passing game.

New Orleans Saints RB C.J. Spiller carried just twice for 10 yards in the Week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys, but he had an 80-yard touchdown catch and run in overtime. He finished with five grabs for 99 yards.
Fantasy Tip: Spiller ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) has big-play ability, but he needs more than seven total touches to warrant using at a mid-level price in FantasyScore.
Sun, 04 Oct 2015 22:34:07 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Snead ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has quickly emerged as a favorite target of Drew Brees, and he is a decent low-end FantasyScore option at this price level.
Sun, 04 Oct 2015 22:33:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: The touchdown was nice, but Robinson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) needs more touches and yardage to warrant using in FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is still not worth using in FantasyScore despite the touchdown. The veteran Watson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is slightly better for fantasy players, but his ceiling is also limited.

New Orleans Saints DT Kaleb Eulls, OG Jahri Evans, QB Garrett Grayson, DE Obum Gwacham, TE Michael Hoomanawanui, WR Joe Morgan and CB Kyle Wilson are inactive for the Week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Fantasy Tip: Brees ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) was listed a probable, but he was to throw for coaches in pre-game warmups. Apparently that went well.
Sun, 04 Oct 2015 07:31:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Spiller ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) has received only two carries so far this season but probably will receive more as the season goes on. Spiller has been more involved in the passing game and likely has more value in point-per-reception leagues.

Fantasy Tip: We still don't know how Brees ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) will look in game action. He could still be a little rusty. He does play better at home, though, so he's at least worth consideration despite the recent injury.

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees (shoulder) is not expected to be limited to shorter throws if he returns in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. Head coach Sean Payton insisted Brees wouldn't play if he didn't have the strength and functionality needed to make every throw necessary. Brees is listed as probable for the game. However, the Saints have just three passing plays of 25 yards or more this year after three games.
Fantasy Tip: The fact remains that Brees ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) and the offense haven't clicked at all this year. Until we see that happen he's riskier than usual for FantasyScore gamers, especially coming off a week that he missed due to injury.
