Saints | New Orleans running backs tearing it up

Tue, 14 Nov 2017 19:19:38 -0800

New Orleans RBs Mark Ingram (569) and Alvin Kamara (560) rank second and third, respectively, in the league in yards from scrimmage in the five games since Adrian Peterson was traded to the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Tip: Furthermore, Ingram's 502 rushing yards ranks first in the league, while his seven rushing touchdowns over the last five weeks are more than two times as many as any other back in the NFL not named Ezekiel Elliott (five). Kamara (three) is tied with the likes of Todd Gurley for third place. Over that same time, the rookie trails only Chris Thompson for the most receiving yards by a running back (226).

Saints | Drew Brees wants to stay in Big Easy

Tue, 14 Nov 2017 10:53:17 -0800

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees has no intention of talking to the team about his expiring contract during the season, but he reiterated his desire to finish his career in New Orleans during a recent appearance on XTRA 1360 AM. "I feel like we've got a great opportunity ahead of us and I don't plan on leaving New Orleans ever. … I have not approached them about any contract. We just have a great understanding here. Listen, we're going to go through this season and we'll revisit it in the offseason. For right now, I'm in the moment," Brees said.

Fantasy Tip: The Saints have arguably their most complete team since their Super Bowl run in 2009, which may throw a wrench into his negotiating posture this offseason since the team is relying on him less than it ever has. With that said, Brees still leads the league in completion percentage and is fourth in quarterback rating. He's still a QB1 for fantasy purposes, but it appears this will be the first time since he arrived in New Orleans in 2006 that he won't be a top-six fantasy signal-caller.

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 16:20:45 -0800

Saints | Ted Ginn quiet in blowout win

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 16:20:00 -0800

New Orleans Saints WR Ted Ginn Jr. managed just one catch for three yards on his only target in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: It was all about the run game for New Orleans and the passing game was on the back burner for a change for the Saints. Ginn remains nothing more than a WR4 or WR5 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 11 against the Redskins.

Saints | Michael Thomas snares nine balls

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 16:19:27 -0800

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas posted nine receptions for 117 yards on 10 targets in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas was limited earlier in the week due to an ankle injury, but he didn't show any ill effects. In fact, this was his first 100-yard game of the season. He remains a solid WR2 in most fantasy leagues despite the fact he hasn't visited the end zone since Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins. The Saints host the Redskins in Week 11.

Saints | Alvin Kamara posts 106 yards, TD

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 16:18:50 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara rushed 12 times for 106 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills and he added five receptions for 32 yards on his five targets.

Fantasy Tip: Kamara has had a pair of giant performances over the past two outings, but Mark Ingram still went for 131 yards and three touchdowns in this one. As long as Ingram is healthy, Kamara's ceiling is slightly limited. Still, both have emerged must-start fantasy options heading into Week 11 against the Redskins, although you can expect a backslide. It's inevitable.

Saints | Mark Ingram runs over Buffalo

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 16:18:06 -0800

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram rushed 21 times for 131 yards and three touchdowns in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: For fantasy owners worried about Alvin Kamara's emergence last week, relax. Ingram is still the bellcow in New Orleans and he proved he remains a No. 1 fantasy option. The Saints host the Redskins in Week 11.

Saints | Drew Brees turns it over to runners

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 16:17:41 -0800

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees completed 18 of his 25 pass attempts for 184 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills. He did have a rare rushing touchdown, however.

Fantasy Tip: Brees handed the ball off and let Mark Ingram (131 yards, three TDs) and Alvin Kamara (106 yards, TD) do all the work. The Saints totaled six rushing scores and didn't need Brees and his aerial heroics.
