New Orleans Saints TE Coby Fleener is still getting situation in his team's offense, and he continues to make adjustments. "I'd say it's an ongoing progression," head coach Sean Payton said Monday, Aug. 22. "I think, man, there's some plays that are real good, and then there's some plays where we've got to be a little bit more detailed and that's something that I know he's got to work on."
Fantasy Tip: No matter what the depth charts have been saying, Fleener will be well ahead of Josh Hill and Michael Hoomanwanui, and should be a the second or third option in the pass game once the regular season gets rolling. He is being drafted as a TE1 in most fantasy leagues, and is a good consolation prize for those who miss out on the likes of Rob Gronkowski, Greg Olsen, Jordan Reed, etc.

Fantasy Tip: Spiller hasn't come close to the impact he had when he was a standout at Clemson. Sure, early in his career in Buffalo he had a few notable games, but he has settled into a reserve role in the NFL and he is only worth rostering in fantasy leagues as a depth player at this point until he proves otherwise.

New Orleans Saints RB Tim Hightower is expected to serve as the team's primary backup to RB Mark Ingram, as none of the other reserve tailbacks have flashed or helped themselves in training camp and the preseason.
Fantasy Tip: Hightower made a miraculous comeback last season, returning to fantasy relevance. However as long as Ingram is healthy Hightower's workload will be rather minimal, and therefore so will his fantasy appeal.

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram is expected to shoulder most of the load in the backfield with all of his underlings struggling in one facet of the game or another. He is capable of playing three downs, is capable of doing big things catching the ball out of the backfield and he is the best of the group in pass protection, too.
Fantasy Tip: Ingram is a bona fide RB1 and fantasy owners will like him because he isn't in a timeshare and will see a bulk of the carries in NOLA as long as he can stay healthy. Those timeshare situations can make fantasy owners pull out their hair. This isn't one of those situations.

New Orleans Saints RB Marcus Murphy has coughed the ball up in the return game, and head coach Sean Payton lashed out at him publicly for the second time in as many years due to the issue. He has fumbled twice in two preseason games, losing one.
Fantasy Tip: Murphy's biggest role would be in special teams and not in the offense, but he needs to start helping himself or he might be looking for a new employer. As far as fantasy is concerned, he would only be worth using in the deepest of fantasy formats which reward individual return yardage.

New Orleans Saints WR Brandon Coleman posted six receptions for 47 yards on 10 targets in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 20, against the Houston Texans. He saw increased work with WRs Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead resting.
Fantasy Tip: Coleman looked good last preseason, but he never did quite emerge as that special fantasy sleeper everyone envisioned. Now, Brandin Cooks is the top banana and a WR1 for fantasy owners, and Willie Snead and rookie Michael Thomas look to be special. It appears Coleman will be the No. 4 wideout in NOLA, and more of a WR5 for fantasy players in most formats.

Fantasy Tip: There was a little concern recently when Fleener was listed as a backup tight end on the team's depth chart, but this news should put owners at ease. Fleener will head into the new campaign as the starting tight end in New Orleans, and considering what Jimmy Graham did there in the past, the former Indianapolis Colt will have potential to be one of the most valuable players at this position in 2016. He should be on the radar in all formats.
