Fantasy Tip: The Chiefs moved up and grabbed Mahomes, who will now be groomed by Andy Reid. He won't have fantasy value in redraft leagues in 2017, but he has tons of arm talent and QB1 upside. Stash him in keeper formats.

The New Orleans Saints acquired the No. 67 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for the No. 229 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and a 2018 second-round draft choice.

Fantasy Tip: Kamara joins a prolific offense but a crowded backfield that also features Adrian Peterson and Mark Ingram. If Kamara proves his worth, he could become the lead back in a couple of years, but his value is mainly in keeper leagues for now.

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton allowed for the possibility the Saints would still consider a trade for New England Patriots CB Malcolm Butler or Los Angeles Rams CB Trumaine Johnson despite selecting Ohio State CB Marshon Lattimore in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 27.

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram said he is fine with the team's signing of RB Adrian Peterson if his addition helps the team win. Ingram said he expected the team would add another running back and is not concerned about sharing playing time with Peterson.
Fantasy Tip: Ingram probably will be the starting running back for the Saints but likely will see less carries than he did in the past. He should still have a role in the passing game in 2017 and could be a No. 2 or No. 3 running back in fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: That role remains unclear for now, but we are in the beginning stages of the offseason. Peterson has plenty of time to get used to his new offense and the like. The likeliest scenario is that Peterson will serve as more of a ground-and-pound back, while Ingram plays more of a pass-catching role (96 catches the last two years). Ingram does have the most fantasy appeal of the two, but his value clearly takes a hit with Peterson there. That said, view Ingram as an RB2 and Peterson as an RB3.

Updating an earlier report, New Orleans Saints RB Adrian Peterson landed a two-year, $7 million deal. He's guaranteed $3.5 million in 2017, which includes a $1 million salary and a $2.5 million signing bonus. The 2018 compensation is $3.5 million, and none of which is guaranteed. It includes $2.4 million in total roster bonuses (which includes a $750,000 roster bonus earned on third day of free agency plus $1.65 million in per-game roster bonuses), a $1.05 million salary and a $50,000 workout bonus.
Fantasy Tip: Peterson will be the 1B fiddle to Mark Ingram, and neither back should be valued higher than an RB2 if both backs remain healthy. Peterson falls into the RB3 range because he doesn't catch many passes and is 32 years old.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson isn't expected to be the lead back with Mark Ingram expected to serve in that role. However, Peterson's presence will hurt Ingram's fantasy prowess as no more than an RB2. As for AD, he's little more than an RB3 in this situation. Both backs have a lengthy injury history of late, and if one went down, the other would benefit in a big way.
