Mon, 24 Jul 2017 10:45:05 -0700

New Orleans Saints exclusive rights free-agent WR Willie Snead said he'll report to camp Thursday, July 27, despite his desire for a new contract.

Fantasy Tip: Snead is on the cusp in fantasy, and with Brandin Cooks gone, this could be the year. He has a lot of upside as a WR3.

Saints | Ted Ginn to be No. 3 WR

Sun, 16 Jul 2017 15:39:56 -0700

New Orleans Saints WR Ted Ginn Jr. will be the team's No. 3 receiver this season and can also be used as a kick or punt returner.

Fantasy Tip: Ginn posted at least 700 yards in each of the last two seasons but could improve those numbers as part of the Saints offense in 2017. He should receive plenty of playing time this season and could be at least a No. 4 fantasy receiver.

Saints | Mark Ingram perfect as a red zone receiver

Tue, 11 Jul 2017 19:35:38 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram hauled in all 10 of his targets inside the 20 last season, making him only one of five players with at least five such targets to catch every one.

Fantasy Tip: Adrian Peterson has made a lot of noise recently about proving himself as a receiver, but Ingram and rookie Alvin Kamara are better equipped to handle that work. With that said, at least 22 percent of the Saints' targets have been directed at the running back position over the last 10 seasons, and the average during the span is 26 percent. In short, there should be plenty of opportunities for all three backs to get their fill of catches. Ingram should be considered a high-upside RB3.

Saints | Naysayers motivate Adrian Peterson

Tue, 11 Jul 2017 15:07:25 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Adrian Peterson is motivated by those who doubt his age, ability, health, etc. "I'd be lying to say [the doubt] doesn't [motivate me]," Peterson said. "You want to do things people say you can't do."

Fantasy Tip: There is credence to the doubt surrounding Peterson. At 32 years old, Peterson has missed almost two full seasons in the last three years. He'll be splitting playing time with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara to boot. Nonetheless, he is Adrian Peterson, after all. View him as a flex option in a high-scoring, high-flying offense.

Saints | Adrian Peterson eyes 500 receiving yards

Tue, 11 Jul 2017 09:06:48 -0700

New Orleans Saints RB Adrian Peterson has had more than 400 receiving yards only once in his career, but he is shooting for 500 in 2017. "I was attracted to playing with (Drew) Brees, a guy who is good at distributing the ball to different players. I know in this system, I'll get some opportunities to catch the ball in space. Drew Brees, he'll get the ball to me," Peterson said.

Fantasy Tip: Brees loves throwing to his running backs, but 500 receiving yards is a big ask in a backfield which also has Mark Ingram, Alvin Kamara and maybe even Travaris Cadet vying for touches. Peterson will be fortunate to top 1,000 total yards this season, and owners should be thrilled if he can give them roughly 750 yards rushing and 350 receiving to go along with eight to 10 touchdowns. He's on the RB2 borderline and probably should be drafted as a RB3.
