Despite Brady and head coach Bill Belichick's "we'll see" statements about whether the quarterback will play or not this weekend, owners should expect him to play and play well. He's the top remaining quarterback left on the board in the postseason without question.

Updating previous reports, New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (thumb) suffered a cut to his right thumb during practice Wednesday, Jan. 17, which was gushing blood and required multiple stitches, according to a source close to the situation. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported that the injury occurred when RB Rex Burkhead collided with him. Brady was held out of practice Thursday, Jan. 18, but was "zinging it pretty good" when he returned to action as a limited practice participant Friday, Jan. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Brady was listed as questionable on the injury report but it would be a total surprise if he wasn't under center for the AFC Championship Game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, Jan. 21. He should be viewed as a No. 1 fantasy quarterback in all fantasy formats despite the thumb issue.
