New England Patriots DT Vince Wilfork could miss out on $1.25 million this weekend against the Buffalo Bills. An escalator in his contract allows him extra money if he plays 70 percent of the team's defensive snaps and in the divisional round of the playoffs. The Patriots have already clinched home-field advantage and a first-round bye, but Wilfork could miss out on the incentives if he doesn't play Sunday, Dec. 28. Wilfork currently has played in 74.1 percent of the team's defensive snaps this year.

Fantasy Tip: Brady might play some in the regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills, but it is a difficult matchup against a good defense and pass rush, and the team is likely to play it safe and limit his playing time to preserve him for the playoffs. The team has nothing to gain since they have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs already in the bag. FantasyScore owners will want to shy away from TB12.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell's status for the regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills is up in the air. FantasyScore owners will want to check back Friday for further updates on his status.

Fantasy Tip: Vereen, , like many other Patriots regulars, could see limited touches or simply be held out since the team has already wrapped up the top seed in the AFC. Check back Friday for a clearer picture on his status.

Fantasy Tip: Edelman is a big question mark for the regular season finale. Even if he is healthy enough to play, it is possible he could be held out as a precaution to get ready for the playoffs. The Patriots already have the No. 1 seed in the AFC wrapped up, so there is no sense risking further injury with their key components. Be careful.

Fantasy Tip: Gray might actually see touches than he has been since the Patriots are likely to rest some players with the top seed in the AFC already locked up. As such, Gray could be a solid contributor for FantasyScore owners in the regular season finale.

Fantasy Tip: Check back on Blount's status Friday when the official injury report comes out. The Bills rank 13th in the NFL against the rush, and it's uncertain if the Patriots will rest players since they have the No. 1 seed already sewn up. It might be best to shy away from Blount for FantasyScore purposes just to be on the safe side.

New England Patriots LS Danny Aiken (finger), CB Kyle Arrington (hamstring), CB Brandon Browner (groin), LB Jamie Collins (hip), OL Dan Connolly (knee), OL Cameron Fleming (ankle), LB Dont'a Hightower (shoulder), DE Chandler Jones (hip), DE Rob Ninkovich (heel) and LB Chris White (ankle) were listed as limited participants for practice Wednesday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Let's count on that happening. Brady is a risky start on FantasyScore this week. The team has clinched home-field advantage and face a tough defense in the Buffalo Bills. There is very little incentive for Brady to play much in Week 17.

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady would prefer to play in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills despite having already locked up a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs. "There's a lot of guys that could probably use a little time off," Brady said. "But at the same time, this is football season and you play through whatever you got and you deal with those things when your season ends. All those things are coach's decisions. I want us to go out and win, that's what I want. I don't care about resting. I want to go out there and try to kick some butt. That's what I want to do." Brady was sacked four times and was 23-for-35 for just 182 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Week 16 against the New York Jets.
Fantasy Tip: Despite Brady's wishes, the ultimate decision will come down to Bill Belichick as to whether Brady and the rest of his offensive weapons are rested against the Bills. Even if Brady starts, there's a good chance he won't finish out the game, making him a player to avoid at FantasyScore this weekend.

Fantasy Tip: This now means that the Patriots have nothing to play for in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills. It would not be wise to trust any of New England's players at FantasyScore this weekend, including Tom Brady.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski played in all 61 of the team's offensive snaps in Week 16 against the New York Jets, showing that he is completely healthy at season's end. TE Tim Wright played in only seven snaps in the first half compared to 25 in the second half with the team going to a faster tempo on offense.
Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski ($5,555) may not be the safest play at FantasyScore in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills defense. The Patriots may also have everything locked up for homefield advantage, too, so Gronk could be rested. Be careful here.

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola played 44 of the team's 61 offensive snaps in Week 16 against the New York Jets with WR Julian Edelman (concussion) sidelined. Amendola played a season-low 12 offensive snaps in Week 15. The team's receivers struggled to gain consistent separation with Edelman out of the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Edelman could sit again in Week 17. If he does, Amendola ($5,555) is worth a look as a weak flex play at FantasyScore. However, depending on the outcome of the Denver Broncos-Cincinnati Bengals game tonight, the Patriots could rest most of their players in Week 17.
