Vikings | Four DBs unlikely to return Fri, 03 Feb 2012 18:26:06 -0800 The Minnesota Vikings are unlikely to bring back SS Tyrell Johnson, SS Jarrad Page, CB Benny Sapp or SS Andrew Sendejo in 2012. Page is expected to become a free agent in March, and he is not likely to re-sign. Sapp doesn't fit in with the youth movement in Minnesota, and he is unsigned heading into 2012. The Vikings are expected to cut bait with Johnson. Sendejo is signed through 2012, but he is probably not in the team's future plans. Henderson (knee) had swelling in his left knee in the second game of the season, and never seemed the same in space. He was reduced to a part-time role around midseason to ease stress on the knee, but he still ended up second on the team in tackles with 130, including 81 solo stops and 16 tackles for loss. He is likely to draw interest on the open market, but his age and declining mobility with a titanium rod in his leg suggest his days as a three-down player are over.
