While he was excused, he may have to attend the symposium next year. A league spokesman said excused players are expected to make up the material presented, which could involve attendance at the following year's event.

He went on to say that if he were to join Minnesota, it comes down to knowing the team, knowing you can run the ball and complete passes, which should lead to the team being pretty good.
