Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson once again has drawn praise from Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer -- this time for his route-running improvements. Patterson has worked extensively this offseason to become a better receiver from a technical standpoint.
Fantasy Tip: Patterson was a popular breakout candidate in 2014 but barely saw the field in the second half of the season after falling out of favor with Zimmer due to his limited knowledge of nuanced routes. The explosive third-year receiver could be an undervalued WR4 draft target if he continues to turn heads and finds a way to earn regular playing time.

Minnesota Vikings TE MyCole Pruitt was praised for his versatility and ability to create mismatches by general manager Rick Spielman, and Pruitt could be the No. 2 tight end on the depth chart behind TE Kyle Rudolph as a rookie.

Updating an ongoing story, Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson remains in pursuit of being traded or receiving a new contract and remains away from the organization during voluntary workouts. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told ESPN Radio he has a target date in mind of when he thinks Peterson will return to the team, but Zimmer did not give the specific date.
Fantasy Tip: Peterson remains among the elite fantasy football options in Round 1, and an upset Peterson could be a very productive one. Zimmer is likely referring to training camp, since Peterson will be fined if he doesn't show, but this situation will feel tenuous until AD steps foot onto the field in Week 1 wearing a Vikings jersey.

Fantasy Tip: Walsh struggled last year, hitting 26 of 35 field goal attempts. He's not in starting fantasy kicker territory.

The Minnesota Vikings' offensive starters make $58,402,407, according to spotrac.com. That's third most in the NFL behind the Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins. The Minnesota offense averaged a meager 315.5 yards per game last season -- 27th in league.
Fantasy Tip: Last year may have been an anomaly with Adrian Peterson missing 15 games. Peterson makes $15.4 million of the Vikings' 2015 salary cap. With an ideal core of Teddy Bridgewater, Peterson, Mike Wallace, Cordarrelle Patterson and Charles Johnson, the Minnesota offense should bounce back in 2015 and start paying dividends.

Fantasy Tip: If Turner does open things up a bit, it would be good news for Teddy Bridgewater and the receiving corps. However, the talk of a more pass-friendly playbook may or may not amount to much when the season begins. For now, the fantasy value of Bridgewater and the rest of the Vikings' offensive players remains unchanged.

Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson has been impressive during offseason workouts, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. "He's really done well," Zimmer said. "He's running routes good; he's working hard. So we just need him to continue to do those things and continue to keep getting consistent and keep improving. I've been impressed with the things that he's done."
Fantasy Tip: Patterson saw a drop in all of his stats this past season and likely will enter the 2015 season as a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver. Owners in deeper leagues could consider selecting Patterson in one of the late rounds in drafts.

Minnesota Vikings WR Mike Wallace proclaimed himself the fastest player in the NFL Tuesday, May 5, per the Pioneer Press. "If somebody feels foggy about that, we can [race]. I'm never going to back down from competition,'' said Wallace.
Fantasy Tip: Wallace will have a lot of work to do this season if he wants to prove himself correct. Wallace surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in two of his last three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but posted a high of 930 yards in his three-year stint with the Miami Dolphins. With plenty of mid-level receiving options in Minnesota, Wallace will have to get off to a strong start or risk being buried on the depth chart. At this point, Wallace should be considered as not much more than a late-round flier with WR3 upside in 10 or 12 team leagues.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson may be changing course in his pursuit of a trade as his agent, Ben Dogra, said he'd like the team to sign Peterson to an extension. "One of the things that I appreciate with the Vikings is their resolve to say 'we're not trading him,'" Dogra told USA TODAY Sports. "That tells me they value him not only as a football player, but what he's done for the organization. "I actually, as an agent, not only appreciate it - I accept it. But actions speak louder than words. If that's going to happen, and you want to keep him, then show him a commitment to make him retire as a Viking. And I haven't had that solution." Peterson has three years and $46 million left on his contract, but none of it is guaranteed.
Fantasy Tip: Peterson is still a high-end RB1. He'll likely be a first-round pick wherever he plays next season.
