Vikings | Sam Bradford puts in limited practice

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 13:49:09 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford could be a game-time decision again this week, so have a backup plan in place in case. Case Keenum is not a good backup plan. Pick up someone like Josh McCown, Jacoby Brissett or DeShone Kizer if you're really desperate.

Vikings | Sam Bradford improving

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 08:33:30 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) was feeling better Tuesday, Sept. 19, and he's being considered day to day, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford hasn't been a particularly quick healer in his career, and he's anything but a safe bet to play in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If he goes, he's still a backup option in fantasy.

Vikings | Sam Bradford dealing with bruise?

Mon, 18 Sep 2017 11:51:32 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) is believed to have a bone bruise in his injured knee, according to a source. Bradford will be given an injection after which the Vikings will assess how the knee responds and go from there.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford's absence was evident in the Vikings' Week 2 loss. The offense sputtered coming off a supremely successful Week 1 outing. Have a backup plan at quarterback in place for now. Case Keenum will start again if Bradford can't play, but don't start Keenum in traditional fantasy leagues.

Vikings | Sam Bradford could be back for Week 3

Mon, 18 Sep 2017 07:28:10 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) just had swelling and discomfort from taking a shot to his knee, and he could return in Week 3, according NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. His status will depend on how he responds to treatment.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford would be a backup or emergency option in fantasy against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.

Vikings | Stefon Diggs has quiet day

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 14:56:00 -0700

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs caught two passes for 27 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Diggs probably could have had a better statistical day but was held in check by the Steelers. He will continue to be the top receiver for the Vikings and should be a starting option in most leagues in Week 3.

Vikings | Adam Thielen catches five passes

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 14:48:18 -0700

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen caught five passes for 44 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Thielen's value took a hit with Case Keenum starting this week but still had a decent outing for owners in point-per-reception leagues. Thielen can be considered at least a flex option for owners next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Vikings | Kyle Rudolph finishes with 45 yards

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 14:34:58 -0700

Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph caught four passes for 45 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Rudolph was a reliable target for Case Keenum during game but probably would have had a better day if Sam Bradford played. Rudolph can be a No. 1 tight end against certain opponents, but his value will drop if Keenum starts.

Vikings | Dalvin Cook has decent outing

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 14:29:16 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook rushed for 64 yards on 12 carries against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Cook received a majority of the carries again this week and that should continue moving forward. He will be facing a solid Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense next week but could still be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Vikings | Case Keenum throws for 167 yards

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 14:19:39 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum went 20-for-37 for 167 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Keenum was the starter because Sam Bradford is dealing with a knee injury and could start Week 3 if Bradford is not able to play. Keenum should not be an option in any fantasy league and will hurt the value of Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph if he starts again.

Vikings | Case Keenum to start Week 2

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 07:59:17 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum will be the starting quarterback against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2 in place of QB Sam Bradford (knee), according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Keenum has had some success over the last few years but should not be a fantasy option in any league. Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph will see a drop in their fantasy value but could still be starting options for owners.

Vikings | Sam Bradford decision down to the wire

Sat, 16 Sep 2017 21:47:48 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) will be put through pregame workouts before the team decides if he will play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford's status remains up in the air, and if you were planning on starting him in Week 2, you need to have a backup plan in place.
