Dolphins | Jay Ajayi may have bone issue

Sat, 02 May 2015 23:39:22 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi (knee) may have a potential bone on bone issue that may have contributed to his falling down some teams' draft boards.

Fantasy Tip: He ended up in the fifth round, which may be a steal if the knee problem turns out to be a non-factor. Ajayi may be worth a late flier in deeper drafts if the injury isn't serious.

Dolphins | Future bright for Ryan Tannehill?

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 19:48:29 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is coming off his best season as a pro, and the team has added WR Kenny Stills, WR Greg Jennings, WR DeVante Parker and TE Jordan Cameron in the offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill turned out to be a low-end QB1 last year, and with added firepower at his disposal and another year of experience under his belt, he should at least be able to duplicate his results in 2015. He is a great quarterback to target if you decide to pass on the high-end QB1 options in fantasy drafts.

Dolphins | DeVante Parker taken by Dolphins

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 18:43:49 -0700

Louisville WR DeVante Parker was selected 14th overall by the Miami Dolphins in the 2015 NFL Draft Thursday, April 30.

Fantasy Tip: Parker joins the mix in Miami with Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and Greg Jennings. Don't forget, the Dolphins also signed pass-catching tight end Jordan Cameron in the offseason. That's a lot of mouths to feed, meaning a lot would likely have to fall in Parker's favor for him to make a big fantasy impact in his rookie season in 2015.

Dolphins | MIA high on Breshad Perriman

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 09:30:25 -0700

Central Florida WR Breshad Perriman is receiving a lot of interest from the Miami Dolphins, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Perriman has a good chance to be selected in the first round of the draft and could be the No. 3 receiver on some teams' draft boards. Perriman likely would have a good role in the passing game if he joined the Dolphins and may be a late-round pick in deeper leagues next season.

Dolphins | MIA interested in Chris Conley

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 20:23:48 -0700

The Miami Dolphins are interested in University of Georgia WR Chris Conley. He did not visit the team, but that is not due to a lack of interest. For instance, WR Jarvis Landry did not visit the team last year but he was drafted by the team.

Fantasy Tip: Conley had a giant combine, and his stock is on the rise. He has decent speed but he showed a little bit of a case of the dropsies at UGA, so he could be a work in progress for his drafting team.

Dolphins | Kennard Backman a target for MIA

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 20:22:56 -0700

Alabama-Birmingham TE Kennard Backman worked out privately for the Miami Dolphins during the pre-draft process and is a player the team is believed to be high on.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins are pretty well stocked up at tight end, but Backman could be a third-day draft player who is a future contributor for the team.

Dolphins | MIA shows interest in John Crockett

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 20:22:16 -0700

The Miami Dolphins have been showing an interest in North Dakota State RB John Crockett, a player who ran for 1,994 yards last season and has been called a poor man's Eddie George.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins certainly can use help in the backfield and Crockett might be this season's Terrance West, an FCS player who can come in and surprise in his rookie season.

Dolphins | Chris Dunkley could fill need

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 20:21:31 -0700

Dolphins | Fins up on CMU's Titus Davis

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 20:20:47 -0700

The Miami Dolphins have shown particular interested in many draftable receivers, especially Central Michigan WR Titus Davis.

Fantasy Tip: Davis was a playmaker for the Chips in Mount Pleasant, and he has a chance to be a second- or third-day receiver who could crack the 53-man roster in the fall. It remains to be seen whether he has any fantasy appeal in his initial season, and it really depends on the offense he finds himself in.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill's option picked up

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 18:09:41 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill had his fifth-year option picked up Wednesday, April 29, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport. The option is worth $16 million for 2016 and is fully guaranteed only in the event of an injury. The Dolphins plan to work out a long-term deal prior to the season opener.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill will enter the season as a top-15 quarterback and will be a late-round option in fantasy drafts. That said, if Tannehill is able to take the next step in his development, it's not out of the question for him to perform as a top-10 player at his position.

Dolphins | DeVante Parker may be target for MIA

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 11:37:52 -0700

Louisville WR DeVante Parker is receiving interest from the Miami Dolphins, and the Dolphins are believed to be looking to trade up in order to draft him. The Dolphins could look to trade with the St. Louis Rams for the 10th overall pick since the Rams are willing to trade down.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins have made several changes to their wide receiver corps during the offseason and Parker likely would have a solid role on the offense if he joins the Dolphins. Parker could be a late-round pick in fantasy drafts next season.
