Miami Dolphins OT Branden Albert (knee) is still recovering from his torn anterior cruciate ligament, but it is reasonable to expect him to play in Week 1 next season, according to general manager Dennis Hickey.

Updating previous reports, Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill will earn $12.2 million in 2015, but only $745,000 of it will be in base salary. His 2016 base salary of $9.34 million is fully guaranteed. In 2017, the Dolphins will have five days into the league year to decide whether to fully guarantee his $17.47 million base salary, which essentially gives the Dolphins an opt-out if Tannehill struggles to meet expectations over the next two seasons. His contract contains no guaranteed money in 2019 and 2020, other than the prorated signing bonus in Year 5, so Miami could save $17 million in 2019 and $18 million in 2020 by releasing him.
Fantasy Tip: The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero said Dolphins executives looked at him like he had a horn growing out of his forehead when he asked what happens if Tannehill flops, which illustrates how much confidence the organization has in their young passer. Tannehill's 2015 season could get off to a rocky start with all of the offensive turnover possibly needing more time build chemistry, but there's no denying his new receiving corps is more explosive than the 2014 cast. He is a fringe QB1.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller enters the final year of his rookie contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2016, according to Spotrac.com. Miller appears poised to headline the free-agent running back class with another strong season and could be playing for a big contract.
Fantasy Tip: Miller looks to build on a strong 2014 campaign and is the lead horse in South Beach. He added roughly seven pounds of muscle this offseason and stands to benefit from an improved supporting cast. He's a sneaky buy as a high-upside RB1 if you like to go with early wide receivers in drafts.

Clarifying a previous story, Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill's new deal includes four new contract years and up to $77 million in new money. The deal is worth $95.27 million over six total years, with options for 2015 and 2016 added in.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill isn't exactly a top-tier fantasy quarterback, but this is a hefty extension for the young quarterback coming off a career year. With guys like Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills, Greg Jennings and Jordan Cameron at his disposal, he's safely in the top-15 fantasy quarterback conversation.

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi said he feels great and there is nothing wrong with his knee. Head coach Joe Philbin said Ajayi will be given opportunities to prove his value to the team during offseason workouts.
Fantasy Tip: Ajayi likely will start the season as the primary backup running back that sees some playing time during games. Ajayi could see playing time as a third-down back initially. He probably should not be an option until near the end of the drafts as a handcuff to Lamar Miller or depth at running back.

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker made several impressive catches during practice Saturday, May 9. Parker has showed fluid movement in his routes and has made several difficult catches during the rookie minicamp.
Fantasy Tip: Parker should have a solid role in the passing game in 2015 and may have the chance to start as a rookie. Parker probably will be an option in late rounds of drafts next season but could have the chance to be more of a factor on a fantasy team.

Miami Dolphins LB Koa Misi is considered the starting middle linebacker, according to head coach Joe Philbin. Philbin had said Misi underperformed at the position last year and that moving him to strong-side linebacker was a possibility.

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker is the type of receiver the offense has been lacking, according to former WR O.J. McDuffie. "We don't have anybody that will go attack the football, nobody to go get it," McDuffie said Friday, May 8. "On 50-50 balls, he's got to be the guy right at the beginning of the season that, covered or uncovered, he's got to go up and get that ball at its high point. Right away he's got to be in the mix."
Fantasy Tip: Parker should push for playing time right away, and while he has WR3 potential, he should be drafted as a bench option in traditional fantasy formats just to be safe.

Fantasy Tip: Miller finished with more than 1,300 total yards and nine scores last season, and with Miami set to use him as the lead back in 2015, he should be a solid RB2 in all formats.
Thu, 07 May 2015 15:14:21 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Parker could make an impact right away for the Dolphins, although he may be the team's fourth wide receiver with Jarvis Landry playing primarily in the slot and Kenny Stills and Greg Jennings lining up on the outside. Parker's size and speed could make it hard for Miami to keep him off the field, however. He has low-end WR3 potential.
