Chiefs | Albert Wilson expected to start

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 15:30:13 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson is projected to be the No. 2 wide receiver behind WR Jeremy Maclin, according to ESPN.com's Adam Teicher.

Fantasy Tip: The Chiefs will still be focused on the run game as long as Jamaal Charles is on the field. Maclin, Charles and Travis Kelce should also be Alex Smith's three top receiving options. There may not be a lot of opportunities for Wilson to gain a lot of fantasy value.

Chiefs | Chris Conley fitting in

Wed, 22 Jul 2015 20:31:40 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Conley has shown a great deal of potential heading into training camp and the preseason. He has been working to master head coach Andy Reid's complex playbook, a task he said included flash cards and hotel-room route running.

Fantasy Tip: Conley appears to have his head screwed on straight, but he has some issues with drops in college. If he can get past those problems which occasionally plagued him at Georgia, he could be a real surprise in the Kansas City offense. Fantasy owners could do worse with a late-round flier in standard formats.

Chiefs | Alex Smith working with feet

Mon, 13 Jul 2015 12:16:01 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs QB Alex Smith has been focusing on footwork and technique this offseason, particularly with his downfield passes. "For me, footwork is something that never goes away," Smith said. "You're constantly trying to get better with your feet."

Fantasy Tip: Even if he betters his footwork and vertical game, there has not been a season yet where Smith has performed as a starting fantasy quarterback. The addition of Jeremy Maclin and the up-and-coming status of Travis Kelce are nice, but Smith is a backup fantasy quarterback.
