Fantasy Tip: Kelce has TE1 ability, but lately he has looked anything but that. He had 17 catches for 197 yards and a touchdown in his first three games, but he has just 10 grabs for 79 yards and a score over his past three outings. He 'should' bounce back with a big effort in Week 8 in Indianapolis, as the Colts pass defense is atrocious and Kelce should see plenty of open spaces to get free.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin has 49 or fewer yards in three of his past four outings, and he hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 1. He is still worth keeping on a fantasy roster, but treat him as more of a WR3 heading into Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: West did absolutely nothing with his five touches, and he would probably be relegated to the bench or a healthy scratch if Jamaal Charles were 100 percent healthy right now. Avoid him in all fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Hill is a playmaker with outstanding speed, and he might see more opportunities in the future after making the most of his chances in Week 7. He is worth scooping up in deeper fantasy leagues as a speculative pick for depth.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Alex Smith completed 17 of his 24 pass attempts for 214 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 7 game against the New Orleans Saints. He also rushed four times for seven yards.
Fantasy Tip: Smith has been a decent bye-week replacement and low-priced DFS option lately. He is a good streaming option in most fantasy leagues against a terrible Indianapolis secondary.

Fantasy Tip: Ware continues to get the job done, and is a solid RB2 in most fantasy formats. He should have another good game against a dinged up Indianapolis defense in Week 8.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) was active in the Week 7 game against the New Orleans Saints, but he played a limited role due to swelling in his surgically-repaired knee. He had just one carry in the first half.
Fantasy Tip: Charles has been a bust so far, as he is slow to recover from his offseason knee surgery. Spencer Ware is performing well and will not come off the field as long as he is getting the job done. Avoid Charles until he is 100 percent healthy and/or Ware suffers a long-term injury to force Charles into a bigger role.

Fantasy Tip: Charles is expected to see a limited number of snaps after battling swelling in his knee earlier in the week, so he should be viewed as a risky play despite the favorable matchup. Spencer Ware will see most of the carries for Kansas City Sunday afternoon and makes a viable fantasy option in all formats.

Contrary to a previous report, the Kansas City Chiefs are optimistic that RB Jamaal Charles (knee) will be able to see limited snaps in Week 7's game against the New Orleans Saints, according to multiple sources. He will be tested in pregame warmups before the club decides whether or not to deactivate him.
Fantasy Tip: Despite a favorable matchup against a porous New Orleans defense that has allowed the most rushing touchdowns in the league (11), Charles should be avoided this week due to the uncertainty surrounding his health. He was a limited participant in practice Friday, Oct. 21, and has dealt with recent swelling in his surgically-repaired knee. Spencer Ware will receive the bulk of the carries for the Chiefs in Week 7 regardless of whether Charles suits up.

Fantasy Tip: Charles was a limited participant in practice Friday, Oct. 21, but has been dealing with recent swelling in his knee and was not expected to receive many snaps anyway. Spencer Ware will continue to receive the bulk of the carries and has a favorable matchup versus the Saints, while Charcandrick West merits consideration as a desperation flex option as Ware's handcuff.

Kansas City Chiefs LB Justin Houston (knee) did individual and position drills, as well as scout-team work, this week, and the team hopes he'll return in either Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts or Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Kansas City Chiefs CB Phillip Gaines (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 7. LB Tamba Hali (knee) did not participate in practice but is not on the injury report. CB Kenneth Acker (shoulder), OG Jordan Devey (ankle) and OT Mitchell Schwartz (ankle) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) was limited in practice Friday, Oct. 21, due to some swelling in his surgically repaired knee and will be listed as questionable for Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Tip: It's not uncommon for players coming off an ACL surgery to experience swelling, so owners need to stay tuned for more updates. Spencer Ware was already going to start and handle the bulk of the backfield touches this week anyway, so perhaps the team will rest Charles this weekend in order to get him right for the second half of the season. If Charles sits, Charcandrick West would be Ware's handcuff and could be worth a desperation flex play against the Saints' hapless run defense.
