Mon, 16 Oct 2017 13:47:09 -0700

Free-agent RB C.J. Spiller (Chiefs) was re-signed to an undisclosed deal by the Kansas City Chiefs Monday, Oct. 16, according to sources. Kansas City has now signed the veteran running back four times in the past year.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce pulls down four balls

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 19:11:41 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce racked up four receptions for 37 yards on seven targets in the Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: The yardage total was Kelce's second-lowest mark of the season, and he has now failed to score touchdowns in back-to-back games for the first time. He'll get a chance to redeem himself to fantasy owners in Week 7 in a short week against the Raiders on Thursday night.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill good to go

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 19:11:05 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (head) left the Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers after a shot to the head, but the team determined he does not have a concussion, a source said Sunday, Oct. 15.

Fantasy Tip: With Hill apparently checking out OK, he is in line to be ready for Thursday's game with the Oakland Raiders. Start him in fantasy leagues as you normally would, and the Chiefs DST also maintains its value as long as he is available, too.

Chiefs | De'Anthony Thomas has big grab, TD

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 19:10:35 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR De'Anthony Thomas posted three receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: The highlight of the day was a 57-yard touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. He entered with just three receptions for 22 yards all season, so the score was quite the surprise. Despite the score he isn't someone who warrants fantasy consideration in most formats.

Chiefs | Kareem Hunt bottled up on ground

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 19:10:02 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt rushed nine times for 21 yards in the Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, although he did post five receptions for a team-high 89 yards on six targets.

Fantasy Tip: With his 100-plus scrimmage yards, he is the first rookie in NFL history to go over 100 or more yards in each of his first six games. Hunt performed well for his PPR fantasy owners, but those in standard formats weren't as thrilled with the production. It's a quick turnaround with the Chiefs traveling to visit the Raiders on Thursday night in Week 7.

Chiefs | Alex Smith throws for 246 yards, TD

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 18:59:03 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs QB Alex Smith completed 19 of his 34 pass attempts for 246 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions while running four times for 13 yards in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: The Steelers seem to be the kryptonite for Smith and the Chiefs. It wasn't a terrible game for Smith, but nowhere near some of the stat lines he has posted earlier in the season. He and his teammates do not have much time to mope, as they'll be back in action Thursday on the road against the Raiders.

Chiefs | Charcandrick West leaves game

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 15:29:03 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs RB Charcandrick West left the Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second half and he is being evaluated for concussion.

Fantasy Tip: It's uncertain if and when the third-down back will be able to return. To make matters worse for West's fantasy owners, somehow the helmet-to-helmet hit was not flagged.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill ready to go for Week 6

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 14:16:11 -0700

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant for the second consecutive day Friday, Oct. 13, but he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Hill will be in the lineup against the Steelers and he'll be facing the league's No. 1 pass defense. Still, if anyone can shake free and find open spaces against a suffocating defense, it's Hill.

Chiefs | Week 6 injury report for KC

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 13:45:11 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Conley (Achilles'), OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (knee), OL Mitch Morse (foot) and S Steven Terrell (concussion) are ruled out for Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring), LB Justin Houston (calf) and WR Albert Wilson (knee) were limited participants, while LB Dee Ford (back), TE Travis Kelce (concussion) and DL Bennie Logan (knee) practiced in full. All six players were removed from the injury report.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill gets the green light for Week 6

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 12:20:55 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring) will play in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Hill was limited in practice Thursday, but head coach Andy Reid made it clear Friday that his top receiver will play. While he has been efficient - he has caught 25 of his 34 targets - and his overall fantasy point total suggests he is a WR1, his consistency suggests he is more of a WR2. Either way, he should remain in lineups.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce practices fully again

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 10:42:14 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (concussion) was able practice fully for the second straight day Friday, Oct. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Owners shouldn't consider themselves out of the woods yet, as Kelce's upgrade from no practice on Wednesday to a full practice Thursday is a dramatic jump for a player who supposedly suffered a concussion Sunday night. The increase of activity is a good thing, however. If he is active for Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers - and it appears he is trending in that direction - he should be started in all leagues.
