Fantasy Tip: Although Gerhart could wind up seeing short-yardage work in goal line scenarios, a move to fullback effectively kills whatever little fantasy value he had left heading into 2015. The backfield situation in Jacksonville, with Gerhart competing for touches with Bernard Pierce, Denard Robinson and Storm Johnson, is one to avoid for fantasy football owners.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Tandon Doss could be the seasoned veteran general manager David Caldwell is seeking for the team this offseason. Caldwell mentioned Doss and WR Arrelious Benn as in-house veterans as options to fill the team's need for a seasoned receiver.
Fantasy Tip: Doss has been more of a special teams threat than quality receiver during his time in Baltimore. Now that he is in Jacksonville, it sounds like the team could give him more of an opportunity in the offense. At this point he is not worth drafting in most fantasy formats, but that could change with a strong training camp and preseason.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Arrelious Benn could be an option for more time and a bigger role in the offense, as general manager David Caldwell mentioned Benn and WR Tandon Doss as in-house veterans as options to fill the team's need for a seasoned receiver.
Fantasy Tip: Benn has plenty of speed, but injuries have derailed his career in previous stops. He is worth watching during training camp and the preseason, but he would only be worth a look in the deepest of fantasy leagues on draft day.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars are looking for receiver help, but apparently they are not interested in older veterans or players with an injury history.

Fantasy Tip: Crabtree is likely to find a job somewhere despite his injury history, but it sounds like Jacksonville has little interest in adding players with long injury histories or older players at the tail end of their careers.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles received an endorsement from head coach Gus Bradley Tuesday, March 24. Speaking at the AFC Coaches Breakfast at the NFL Annual Meetings Tuesday, Bradley said Bortles has impressed since late last season in his approach. "I knew he was tough, but just how tough … And how fast he would take over the team. The team really gravitates toward him offensively, defensively and special teams-wise, and I didn't know it would happen that fast," claimed Bradley.
Fantasy Tip: Bortles threw just five interceptions in the final eight games of the season after starting his NFL career with 12 interceptions in his first six games. Bortles will have several receiving weapons with TE Julius Thomas, WR Allen Robinson, WR Marqise Lee and potentially WR Justin Blackmon. Bortles will be a strong No. 2 option in two-quarterback leagues and will be worth a late-round flier as a backup quarterback in standard leagues.

Free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Vikings) is a player the Jacksonville Jaguars have an interest, general manager David Caldwell said Monday, March 23. However, the two sides have not scheduled a visit yet.
Fantasy Tip: Jacksonville would be an interesting landing spot for Jennings, who could re-emerge as a decent WR4 or flex play in standard fantasy leagues. The Jags aren't exactly deep at the receiver spot, although they did sign Julius Thomas to big money at tight end.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bernard Pierce will face a suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy with his DUI arrest this week. Pierce will be given a chance to compete for playing time with RBs Toby Gerhart, Denard Robinson and Storm Johnson in 2015. Pierce has struggled in the NFL since his rookie season in 2012, and he's mainly been hampered by a list of injuries including back, ankle, knee, shoulder, thigh, toe and head ailments. Pierce has a chance to be part of a three-man rotation, especially if the Jaguars use Gerhart more as an H-back.
Fantasy Tip: After averaging 4.9 yards per carry his rookie year, Pierce has averaged just 2.9 and 3.9 yards per carry in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Behind an inexperienced offensive line and quarterback in a three-man rotation, he definitely shouldn't interest fantasy owners in standard leagues in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Pierce was expected to take over as the lead back in Baltimore for Ray Rice in 2014, but that clearly didn't happen. He quickly fell down the depth chart and finished with just 93 carries for 366 yards and two touchdowns. He'll enter Jacksonville and battle for touches with Toby Gerhart and Denard Robinson. This backfield looks ugly, and it's probably smart to avoid it everwhere in fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: It might be tough for the Jags to land Gordon this year; they won't take him third overall, and he might be gone by the time they select early in the second round. Trading back into the first round is costly and unlikely for a team with plenty of other needs besides running back. If Gordon lands in Jacksonville, though, he might be even more intriguing as a rookie that sees valuable playing time in a competition with Toby Gerhart and Denard Robinson.
