Fantasy Tip: Blackmon was an elite receiver prospect coming out of college, but he has missed the better part of two years. If he makes it back into the league, he's still just 25 and worth a late-round flyer in drafts.

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said the team has narrowed its decision with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft to three to five players. They haven't received any calls about trading it yet.

Fantasy Tip: The Jags swung and missed on two slot receivers in free agency, and O'Halloran thinks Cooper is the team's logical choice. Cooper appears to be ready for the NFL and would make a good WR3 flyer in fantasy.

Updating previous reports, Jacksonville Jaguars C Stefen Wisniewski's one-year, $2.5 million deal included a $500,000 bonus. He has a $1.25 million salary and $500,000 in playing time incentives. He'll receive $15,625 in per-game roster bonuses and has an injury waiver.

Free-agent RB Maurice Jones-Drew (Raiders) will sign a one-day deal to retire as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars next Tuesday, April 28. He played nine seasons and rushed for 8,167 yards and 68 touchdowns.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles worked with quarterbacks guru Tom House during the offseason. Bortles said Tuesday, April 21, that he spent two months in the offseason in California and was mentored by House. Bortles also spent four days throwing to TE Julius Thomas, WR Marqise Lee, TE Clay Harbor and WR Tony Washington. In addition, Bortles dropped 12 pounds from his the end of last season.
Fantasy Tip: Bortles should be much better from a fantasy perspective in 2015, as he'll have a big weapon in Thomas, and he could have WR Justin Blackmon back, too. In addition, he is in good shape and apparently making huge strides. Still, he is nothing more than a QB2 in most standard leagues at the moment.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson might have a new home in 2015, but Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said the team hasn't talked to Peterson despite a report the Jags were one of six teams interested in trading for him. "No, not really," Bradley said Tuesday, April 21. "Not between (general manager Dave Caldwell). A while ago, but it was just conversation, not any direction that we would go."
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners are likely hoping Peterson won't go to Jacksonville, either, as they're not exactly the most dynamic and flashy offense.

His salary was slashed from $6.8 million to $2.65 million, and he can earn of maximum of $3 million through unlikely playtime incentives. He received a $250,000 signing bonus, $500,000 guaranteed and $400,000 per game roster bonuses.

Fantasy Tip: If Robinson can become a reliable pass-catcher out of the backfield, it will enhance his value even further. For now, consider him a low-end RB2, but that could chance depending on how Jacksonville addresses the running back position in the draft.
Sun, 19 Apr 2015 06:41:34 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Robinson will enter voluntary workouts as the No. 1 running back but things could change if the team selects a running back in the draft. Owners should monitor the Jaguars' running back situation to see who will be the starter next season. Robinson could be an option in middle rounds of fantasy drafts if he keeps the starting job.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Denard Robinson said he believes he should be the No. 1 running back in 2015, and general manager Dave Caldwell said he wouldn't forget about Robinson as he prepares for the 2015 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Tip: Expect the Jaguars to take a running back in the draft, but what round they decide to do so will be a pretty good indicator of the confidence the team has in Robinson. For now, Robinson should be viewed as a low-end RB2 in fantasy drafts.
