Indianapolis Colts TE Dwayne Allen said he was not expecting to be as involved in the red zone as he has been this season. He has five touchdowns in seven games, and three of those scores have come on plays in the red zone.
Fantasy Tip: Although Allen shares the tight end role with Coby Fleener, Allen has been the more reliable of the two this season. He will take up 11.4% of the cap ($5,700) at FantasyScore in Week 8, and he is worth considering as the Colts take on a Pittsburgh defense that has already been burned by Jordan Cameron, Owen Daniels and Greg Olsen this year.

Updating previous reports, Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne's (elbow) injury isn't believed to be serious, but it could cause him to miss a game or two, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Head coach Chuck Pagano hasn't revealed the results of Wayne's MRI exams, however. Wayne said his injury wasn't serious after the Week 7 win. He finished the game against the Cincinnati Bengals with just four catches for 15 yards, and he had two drops. WR Hakeem Nicks could receive a heavier workload if Wayne needs some time to heal from his injury. Nicks had zero catches on one target against the Bengals after catching just two passes for 18 yards the previous week.
Fantasy Tip: Monitor Wayne's practice status this week but be prepared to ignore him at FantasyScore in Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Nicks could be a sneaky sleeper selection if Wayne is forced to sit out.

Indianapolis Colts TE Dwayne Allen (hip) said he is still working his way back to pre-injury form, but he looks a lot better than he did in training camp, according to beat writer Stephen Holder. Allen has 33 catches for 305 yards and five touchdowns thus far.
Fantasy Tip: Allen ($5,700; 11.4% of your cap) has been a solid value buy at tight end on FantasyScore and could receive a boost if WR Reggie Wayne (elbow) misses time.

Updating previous reports, Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (elbow) could miss time with his elbow injury. Beat writer Stephen Holder tweeted that he isn't receiving good vibes from the situation, but it doesn't sound major. The team is receiving multiple opinions on the injury.
Fantasy Tip: Wayne's absence would signal FantasyScore value boosts for Hakeem Nicks ($3,900; 7.8% of your cap) and Donte Moncrief ($3,000; 6%). TE Dwayne Allen ($5,700; 11.4%) would also receive a boost. Nicks would be a solid flex option, while Moncrief would enter the fringe of flex possibilities.

Fantasy Tip: Trent Richardson has been receiving more carries, but Bradshaw's versatility has made him the more effective back. Throw in the fact that Andrew Luck has looked Bradshaw's way a lot in the red zone, and when the Colts have a friendly matchup, Bradshaw is the back to own at FantasyScore.
Mon, 20 Oct 2014 13:18:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Richardson has a chance to play in Week 8 despite the injury. Owners will need to see if he is able to practice this week to get an idea of his status. Richardson could a flex option for owners if he is active.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor this situation during the week to see if he has a chance to play in Week 8. Wayne will be a risky play this week if he is active because the injury could limit him.
Mon, 20 Oct 2014 10:41:22 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Richardson has been sharing work with Ahmad Bradshaw at running back but has had some productive weeks this season. Owners should consider Richardson a matchup play that could be used as a flex option against certain teams.
Sun, 19 Oct 2014 14:11:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Richardson finishes with 77 rushing yards on 14 carries, or 5.5 yards per rush, and he also added four grabs for 41 yards. The severity of his injury is not yet known.

Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton is pleased with how the offense has come together this year. "This is what we envisioned from the standpoint of having the personnel that allows us to do a lot of different things," Hamilton said. "It puts pressure on the defense to decide who they want to try and take away. We feel like we present a conflict to our opponents because we have so many guys on the field at any given time that can make a play for us." The Colts lead the NFL with 31.5 points per game.
