Fantasy Tip: Osweiler has not been worth his $12 million contract this year, not even close. But, he does have one of the best matchups of the week against the Detroit Lions. Detroit has yielded 18 touchdowns through the air this year -- tied for most in the NFL. You may not want to start him in seasonal leagues, but Osweiler is a cheap contrarian option in daily formats.

Fantasy Tip: Miller will more likely than not be ready for this weekend's outing, but he the only team not to give up a rushing touchdown to running backs so far: the Detroit Lions. Miller can do plenty of damage between the twenties, though, and is once again in the RB1 conversation.

Updating previous reports, Houston Texans OT Derek Newton (knee) will miss the remainder of the season, according to head coach Bill O'Brien. Newton injured the knee in Week 7, and the full extent of the injury has not been disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: The Texans may not be benching Osweiler, but fantasy coaches should be. Osweiler has thrown only eight touchdowns while throwing an equal amount of interceptions. He has been one of the most underwhelming players in the NFL through seven weeks and does not belong in the starting quarterback slot on fantasy rosters.

Fantasy Tip: If Miller played through the injury yesterday then he should be able to play this weekend. Alfred Blue saw more action with Miller dinged up, but Miller will be the main man going forward as long as he is healthy. Miller does have one of his tougher matchups of the season so far this week, though. The Detroit Lions are the only team not to allow a rushing touchdown to running backs in 2016. Miller is a low-end RB1 option for Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Fuller entered the game with a hamstring issue, and it's uncertain if he was limited as a result of the injury. Brock Osweiler did not look downfield much, and he struggled with his accuracy, which also hurt Fuller's production. Going into Week 8 against the Detroit Lions Fuller should be treated as a WR3.

Fantasy Tip: Fiedorowicz has emerged as a decent fantasy target in deeper leagues, but he isn't worth using in most formats with 12 or fewer teams.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has been a huge disappointment for fantasy owners, and he is Brock Osweiler just haven't built a good rapport. Nuke should not be dropped, and trading him would be a mistake since his fantasy value is at its nadir. Hang in there and hope the duo can jell sooner rather than later.

Houston Texans RB Alfred Blue rushed 11 times for 63 yards in the Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos Monday, Oct. 24. He saw a bump in snaps and carries thanks to an apparent shoulder injury for starter RB Lamar Miller.
Fantasy Tip: Blue could be an RB3 or flex fantasy option in Week 8 against the Detroit Lions if Miller is forced to miss time. The Lions have similar stats against the rush as the Broncos, so you could expect similar production.

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller (shoulder) rushed 11 times for 61 yards in the Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos Monday, Oct. 24, and fellow RB Alfred Blue also had 11 totes for 63 yards. Apparently Miller was dealing with a shoulder injury which led to the unexpected timeshare.
Fantasy Tip: If he does not have a serious injury, Miller will face a Detroit Lions rush defense in Week 8 which is statistically similar to the Denver Broncos. In other words, it could be tough sledding again.

Houston Texans QB Brock Osweiler returned to Denver for the Week 7 game Monday, Oct. 24, and he completed 22 of his 41 pass attempts for just 131 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions and one fumble lost.
Fantasy Tip: Osweiler has not jelled very well with DeAndre Hopkins, he had accuracy issues all evening and he rarely looked downfield. He has very little fantasy appeal heading into Week 8 against the Detroit Lions.

Houston Texans S Corey Moore (head) suffered an apparent head injury in the Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos Monday, Oct. 24. He was apparently a bit wobbly and needed assistance from the training staff while walking off the field.
