Fantasy Tip: Foster ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) was limited to eight carries for 10 yards and three catches for 25 yards in his season debut last week, and he also lost a fumble. Expect him to have a bigger role Thursday night, especially with Houston missing two starting receivers. He'll be an under-the-radar play in daily formats after a dud last weekend.

Houston Texans S Quintin Demps (hamstring) and LB Akeem Dent (hamstring) have been ruled out for Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts Thursday, Oct. 8. S Lonnie Ballentine (knee) and LB Whitney Mercilus (thigh) are questionable, while OT Duane Brown (hand), LB Max Bullough (shoulder), LB Jadeveon Clowney (shoulder, knee), LB Brian Cushing (foot), CB Johnathan Joseph (hip), OT Derek Newton (ankle), S Eddie Pleasant (thigh), OG Xavier Su'a-Filo (calf) and DT Vince Wilfork (ankle) are probable. Demps, Dent and Mercilus didn't practice Wednesday, Oct. 7. Ballentine, Brown, Clowney, Joseph and Pleasant were limited, while the others practiced in full.

Fantasy Tip: Mallett ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) will be the starting quarterback even though he was benched in the team's last game. Mallett has not posted great numbers this season and should not be a starting option.

Fantasy Tip: Arian Foster ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) probably will receive more work in Week 5 than he did in the last game and could be starting option for owners. Alfred Blue ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) should be the No. 2 running back and could be a flex option if he sees solid playing time.

Houston Texans WR Nate Washington (hamstring) and WR Cecil Shorts (shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 7, and have been ruled out for the Week 5 game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Fantasy Tip: Kevin Mumphrey ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Jaelen Strong ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) will receive bigger roles on offense because of the injuries the team has at the position. They have not seen much playing time this season and should not be fantasy options for owners.
Wed, 07 Oct 2015 12:57:05 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Polk ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) could be a sneaky sleeper play if he is able to play Thursday night. Keep in mind, however, that Arian Foster is back, so Polk may not see as much playing time as he did in previous weeks.
Wed, 07 Oct 2015 06:27:47 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Mumphery ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) takes on the Indianapolis Colts Thursday night and is a watch list player on FantasyScore for now.

Fantasy Tip: Foster ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) is actually one of the more healthy running backs on Houston's roster right now. He didn't do anything to write home about in his return to action last week, but he's still Arian Foster, which means he could produce any given week. The Indianapolis Colts are allowing 92.5 yards and one touchdown per game to running backs this year, so Foster does have a favorable matchup on paper.
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 16:32:01 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Shorts has been thrown to nearly 10 times per game so far in 2015. While DeAndre Hopkins is still the No. 1 wide receiver on the Texans, Shorts is playing with consistency that can't be ignored. He's only $2,700 (5.4% of cap) on FantasyScore, and will enable higher-priced studs to be rostered, too.

Fantasy Tip: Washington ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) left the Texans' Week 4 contest with the hamstring injury that caused him to miss practice. It's not the most encouraging sign that Washington isn't practicing two days before gameday. Look for better options at the wide receiver position on FantasyScore.
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 16:06:50 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Grimes ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) does have some value in PPR leagues, but he just doesn't see the field enough to be warranted as a starting option, especially with Arian Foster now back in the mix.
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 15:56:48 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Polk ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) scored his first touchdown of the season last week, even with Arian Foster returning to action. Polk's volume of play isn't very high from week-to-week, however. He's not a reliable option in seasonal leagues or daily leagues.
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 15:48:04 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Mallett has had his fair share of troubles so far this year, but he's still the Texans' starter. Houston has been forced to pass frequently in 2015 in order to try to keep up with their opponents, making Mallett a sneaky value play in some weeks. He's not the most reliable, but he's one of the cheaper quarterbacks on FantasyScore in Week 5.
