Fantasy Tip: Despite signing a big deal to join the Texans, Osweiler is no lock to start in 2017 after a terrible season. Even if he does start, he doesn't need to be drafted.

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller dropped a potential touchdown in a 34-16 loss to the New England Patriots Saturday, Jan. 14, but head coach Bill O'Brien said Fuller is only going to improve and the drop wasn't the difference in the game.
Fantasy Tip: Fuller showed big-play ability in his rookie year, but drops were a problem. He offers upside as a WR4 heading into 2017, especially if Houston can upgrade its quarterback situation.

Houston Texans QB Brock Osweiler played turnover-free ball in the first half before throwing three interceptions in the second half in a Divisional Round loss to the New England Patriots. He finished 23-of-40 for 198 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Tip: Thus ends a wildly inconsistent and mostly disappointing season for Osweiler, who found C.J. Fiedorowicz from 10 yards out for his only score. Despite being only one season into a four-year, $72 million deal, the Texans will need to seriously consider adding another signal-caller in the offseason after spending most of 2016 calling plays out of fear their top quarterback would lose games for them. Osweiler will be far off the fantasy radar in most leagues in 2017.

Fantasy Tip: It's about the kind of line we've come to expect this season from Miller, who got exactly what he wanted in terms of workload this season but rarely got much of a chance to show off his explosiveness as defenses typically loaded the box and dared Houston to throw. Miller could emerge as the RB1 he could have been this season in 2017, but the Texans need better quarterbacking and some improvements on the offensive line if that is going to happen.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was able to find a better connection with Brock Osweiler late in the season and had nine targets in this one, but 2016 will still go down as a bust for "Nuk" in large part because Osweiler struggled so much in getting him the ball downfield. This offseason should present a nice buy-low window for patient owners, but those in redraft should probably consider him a WR2 at best until they see significant improvement from Osweiler.

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz finished with three catches for 36 yards and accounted for the his team's only touchdown on a 10-yard throw from Brock Osweiler in the second quarter in a Divisional Round loss to the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Tip: Fiedorowicz emerged as a useful low-end TE1 this season, in part due to Osweiler's on-and-off ability/willingness to throw the ball downfield. Assuming things stay mostly the same in Houston this offseason, Fiedorowicz should be approached as a low-end TE1/high-end TE2 this summer in redraft leagues.
