Updating a previous report, North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz and Memphis QB Paxton Lynch are among the quarterbacks the Houston Texans are interested in leading up to the NFL Draft. Michigan State QB Connor Cook and Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg are other possibilities.
Fantasy Tip: The advantage Wentz has is that he met with the Texans during the Senior Bowl, but he may not last until Houston picks. They're more likely to have a chance at Lynch, Cook, Hackenberg and others. If they do draft a quarterback, though, he may not start right away.

Fantasy Tip: Of course, Foster needs to be healthy in order to run the ball, and staying healthy is something he has struggled with throughout his career. There is also the possibility that Foster is released this offseason, which would give Chris Polk and Jonathan Grimes the reins at running back. Houston would also likely add to the position through the draft or free agency if Foster were released. The running back position is too cloudy right now, but McNair's words could bode well for whoever is in the backfield next season.

Houston Texans OT Duane Brown (quadriceps) is coming along well in his rehabilitation process. Brown is recovering from season-ending surgery for a quadriceps injury he suffered in the final game of the season. Brown is wearing a leg brace but he is off crutches and the injury is healing well.

Fantasy Tip: The Texans aren't far from being a serious threat in the AFC with the defense they have in place. However, they have the 22nd pick in the first round and may need to trade up to draft a quarterback that can make an immediate impact.

Fantasy Tip: Foster may not be back with the Texans, but he's still quite valuable if he returns to full health in 2016. Keep an eye on his rehab.

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins, who had three catches for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Pro Bowl, received praise from former WR Michael Irvin. "We don't know what the ceiling is," Irvin said. "You see the skillset, where he can catch footballs from anyplace in the world. There is no telling what the ceiling can be. He'll be rewriting a lot of records in the NFL." Hopkins had 111 catches for 1,521 yards and a franchise-record 11 touchdowns in 2015. Hopkins caught a touchdown from four different quarterbacks this year, which is an NFL record.
Fantasy Tip: Irvin is right, Hopkins' ceiling remains incredibly high. Just imagine if he had a strong quarterback slinging him passes on a regular basis. Even with Houston's QB position in flux, Hopkins has solidified his position as an elite fantasy receiver, and he's worth consideration in the first round of drafts.

Fantasy Tip: There is a good chance Foster will be cut before next season, but assuming he lands elsewhere, he could still have legit fantasy value depending on the situation.

Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (Achilles') is expected to be released before the new league year begins in March, according to multiple sources not authorized to speak publicly. Foster, 30, would have a cap hit of $8.925 million for the 2016 season. The sources also said they expect him to sign elsewhere.
Fantasy Tip: Foster is coming off a torn Achilles', but he still has a lot of name value. He should be able to land at least a timeshare spot next season. He'll be worth watching in the offseason for PPR leagues. The Texans may decide to run with Alfred Blue or draft another back. If Blue is their guy, he'd be an RB3 candidate in fantasy.
