Green Bay Packers OT JC Tretter (knee) and S Morgan Burnett (quadriceps) did not participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 19. OG T.J. Lang (foot) and CB Quinten Rollins (neck, concussion) were both limited participants, while LBs Clay Matthews (shoulder), Julius Peppers (non-injury), Nick Perry (hand), Jayrone Elliott (hand) and WR Jeff Janis (quadriceps) all practiced in full.

Fantasy Tip: This doesn't bode well at all for Starks' status this weekend. It's once again looking very likely that the veteran running back will remain on the sidelines come Sunday, as he's already missed the last five games due to a concussion he sustained in a car accident. In his absence, expect Ty Montgomery to continue pacing the backfield.

Fantasy Tip: This type of activity means he's trending towards playing on Sunday, but it's still unknown how close to 100 percent health Nelson actually is. That being said, he looks like a very risky option right now for DFS lineups and his situation should be monitored closely up until kickoff.

Fantasy Tip: Rarely do kickers get their own individual updates, but after his heroics in the Divisional Round to help propel the Pack out of Dallas with a win, he certainly warrants the attention. Plus, Crosby has a nice matchup on tap in Atlanta, being indoors and kicking in a game that will feature plenty of points. He might be the top kicker to deploy this weekend.

Fantasy Tip: Despite this news, Adams is expected to suit up on Sunday and he'll be a fine WR2 option to lean on against the Falcons, especially if Jordy Nelson (ribs) remains sidelined. Through the first two postseason contests, Adams has been on a tear, hauling in 13 of 22 targets for 201 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: This isn't too surprising, considering head coach Mike McCarthy said Allison might not practice until the day before the game. He'll be out there on Sunday and offer solid upside as a WR3/FLEX option for DFS owners, especially if Jordy Nelson misses another contest.

Fantasy Tip: Allison is expected to play in the NFC Championship game but is sitting out practice so he can rest his injured hamstring. He has had a solid role in the passing game over the last few weeks and could see more targets if Jordy Nelson misses another game. Owners should consider him a No. 3 receiver or a flex option if he is active.

Fantasy Tip: Nelson probably will be listed as limited on the injury report but is still a question mark for the NFC Championship game. Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation over the next few days to see if he makes any progress. He will be a risky option for owners and may only be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Allison had three catches for 46 yards against the Dallas Cowboys last week. His upside will be limited if Jordy Nelson (ribs) returns, but he's a flex option against the Atlanta Falcons.
Thu, 19 Jan 2017 07:27:48 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Adams had 12 catches for 74 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8. He has a 23-276-4 line the last four games in what has been a breakout year. He's a sneaky WR2 whether Jordy Nelson (ribs) is back or not.

Fantasy Tip: Atlanta bent a little bit against the Seattle Seahawks last week with a 10-171-1 line against WRs. Adams has a 23-276-4 line the last four games, but he is battling an ankle issue. He's a sneaky WR2 whether Jordy Nelson (ribs) is back or not.

Updating previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) sat out practice with a left hamstring injury Wednesday, Jan. 18, but did so for "precautionary reasons". He did not commit to participating in practice on Thursday, Jan. 19, or if he was trying to work his way through the injury via rehab.
Fantasy Tip: Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams are already looking dicey for Sunday, so the Packers are likely to need Allison at some point. It's not unthinkable Green Bay will be forced to roll out Trevor Davis and Jeff Janis as outside receivers with Randall Cobb working out of the slot in three-wide packages this weekend, although it sounds like Allison has a much better shot at playing than Nelson or Adams. Allison could be worthy of flex consideration in some leagues if he is cleared in time.

Updating a previous story, Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) is reportedly dealing with an ankle similar to the one that hobbled him for most of the 2015 season, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Tom Silverstein.
Fantasy Tip: Adams isn't even going to be allowed to practice until at least Saturday, so there's certainly reason for concern. With Jordy Nelson unlikely to play and Adams trending in that direction, Aaron Rodgers may not have enough weapons to go toe-to-toe with the Atlanta Falcons' high-scoring offense. Randall Cobb and Jared Cook are shaping up as solid, high-floor DFS plays this weekend.

Updating a previous story, Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (ribs) admitted he worked "slowly" back in practice Wednesday, Jan. 18. He was designated as limited in practice and would not put any odds on his playing in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 22, against the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy Tip: Less than two weeks removed from breaking multiple ribs, it seems highly unlikely Nelson will be ready to go this weekend. Even if does find a way to play, he will almost certainly be on a snap count. With Davante Adams also ailing, Randall Cobb and Jared Cook are in play as target monsters. Geronimo Allison, Trevor Davis and Jeff Janis could all see their roles increase as well.

Green Bay Packers FS Morgan Burnett (quadriceps), LB Julius Peppers (non-injury), RB James Starks (concussion) and C JC Tretter (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 18. WR Jeff Janis (quadriceps), OG T.J. Lang (foot) and CB Quinten Rollins (concussion, neck) were limited during practice. LB Jayrone Elliott (hand), LB Clay Matthews (shoulder) and LB Nick Perry (hand) fully participated in practice.
