Fantasy Tip: Lacy will miss at least eight weeks and could miss the rest of the season depending on the severity of his ankle injury. Owners in most leagues can drop Lacy if they need a replacement. Jackson has a good chance to receive most of the carries until James Starks returns from his injury. Jackson can be a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: There is a good chance that Jackson will receive most of the work at running back against the Chicago Bears because of the injuries to Eddie Lacy and James Starks. Jackson should be considered an attractive flex option in leagues over the next few weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Don Jackson likely will be the main running back for the Packers for the time being with Ty Montgomery also receiving some carries in Week 7. Jackson should be at least a flex option in leagues over the next few weeks. Knile Davis may also receive some playing time at running back in the next week or two but should be avoided in leagues. James Starks probably will take over the starting job when he returns from his knee injury and can be a No. 2 running back.

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (ankle) has returned to his 2015 frame when team sources say he was between 255 and 265 pounds. However, Lacy was averaging 5.1 yards per carry before his ankle injury.
Fantasy Tip: Lacy is out this week, and he could miss multiple weeks with the ankle injury. Ty Montgomery is filling in against the Chicago Bears. He makes for a risky flex option in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Conventional thinking would place Montgomery as a bust candidate against the Chicago Bears playing out of position. However, he could actually see more action as a receiver from the backfield. He wouldn't have the upside of the deeper routes, but in a PPR setting, he could wind up with a couple of points rushing and a normal receiving load. He'll be a boom-or-bust flex option.

Green Bay Packers RB Knile Davis worked with the scout team Wednesday, Oct. 19, while RB Don Jackson and WR Ty Montgomery spent a majority of the practice at running back. "I did scout team, that was good to get my feet wet," Davis said. "I did special teams. It was cool. All day today, all day tomorrow, before the game. (I'll be) trying to learn as much as I can."
Fantasy Tip: It certainly doesn't sound like Davis is in line for a meaningful role in Thursday's game with Chicago. He is worth adding in deeper fantasy leagues, but only as a speculative pick for future weeks if Eddie Lacy and James Starks remain sidelined.

Green Bay Packers WR Jared Abbrederis (quadriceps), S Chris Banjo (hamstring), TE Jared Cook (ankle), CB Damarious Randall (groin), CB Quinten Rollins (groin) and RB James Starks (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 19, and have been ruled out for Week 7. OT Bryan Bulaga (back) participated fully.

Fantasy Tip: Cobb has been upgraded every day of practice this week, so he'll be good to go Thursday night against the Chicago Bears. He and Jordy Nelson should be looked at frequently through the air since the Packers are hurting so much at running back. Cobb is comfortably in the WR2 conversation this week.

Fantasy Tip: Adams' status may not be decided until right before kickoff, so he'll really need to be monitored. The good news is that he did practice after not practicing yesterday. Even if Adams plays, though, he may be too big of a risk since he probably won't be 100 percent healthy. Look for better options if you have them.

Fantasy Tip: No surprise here. Lacy is dealing with an ankle injury that will force him to miss several weeks, as previously reported. James Starks is sidelined too, so it will likely be a mixture of Don Jackson, Knile Davis and Ty Montgomery at running back. Montgomery is the best bet to produce and should be claimed off waivers if available.

Fantasy Tip: Montgomery had a big, 10-catch game for 98 yards last week against the Dallas Cowboys. If he is forced to play some running back, it'll probably hurt his fantasy value more than aid it. He had two fumbles last week and lost one, which could be another hindrance. He's worth flex consideration if Knile Davis and/or Jackson fill the void in the backfield Thursday night against the Chicago Bears.

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (ankle) is seeking a second opinion on his injured foot, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Lacy's scans will be viewed by Dr. Bob Anderson to determine whether Lacy will need to travel for a visit.
Fantasy Tip: What we know: Lacy is unlikely to play in Week 7. Everything else, as Schefter tweeted, is speculation. Keep Lacy on your bench this week and wait until more news breaks about the severity/nature of his injury along with any updated timetable for a return.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is 12-4 against the Chicago Bears in his career. In those 16 games he has thrown 35 touchdowns and just nine interceptions. Those 35 touchdowns are tied for the most against any team Rodgers has played, the Minnesota Vikings being the other team.
Fantasy Tip: It's been an off year for Rodgers and the Green Bay offense, but he just plain plays better against the Bears, and Thursday's game is at Lambeau Field. Fantasy owners may be sick of Rodgers underperforming, but this week isn't the week to finally decide to bench him. He deserves at least one more week, especially since both Eddie Lacy and James Starks are likely out.

Fantasy Tip: What exactly Lacy is dealing with was not disclosed, but there's now more credence to the Packers' acquisition of Knile Davis. James Starks will miss some time, too, so it will likely be Davis and WR Ty Montgomery who take over the backfield duties. Davis and Montgomery are worth a pickup in deeper leagues, but Aaron Rodgers will probably be passing more than usual. He remains a QB1 despite recent struggles.
