Packers | Randall Cobb wants to re-sign

Mon, 19 Jan 2015 11:19:13 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb said his preference is to re-sign with the team this offseason. "Of course (I want to be back). I think I've made that obvious," Cobb said. "Like I've said before: This is a business. You don't know how it's going to go. What direction it's going to go in. You just have to sit around. I hope that I've put myself in the position where it'll handle itself. But only time can tell."

Fantasy Tip: At this point, it's obvious that the Cobb and Aaron Rodgers connection in Green Bay is fantasy football gold, especially in point-per-reception leagues. If Cobb re-signs and continues that connection, expect more good things with Cobb as a top-tier wideout option.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers still dealing with pain

Sat, 17 Jan 2015 10:41:39 -0800

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (calf) said his calf injury was painful the entire game last weekend against the Dallas Cowboys and that it was a little worse after the team's win. Rodgers admitted that it's simply of matter of dealing with the pain, adding that he's having treatment around the clock and the calf will be good Sunday.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers ($8,600, 17.2) still showed he can succeed even when he's not at 100 percent, throwing for 316 yards and three touchdowns against Dallas. The fact remains that he could be a risky option for FantasyScore lineups, however. He'll be playing in one of the most hostile environments against one of the stingiest pass defenses in the NFL.

Packers | Eddie Lacy says knee is fine

Fri, 16 Jan 2015 17:39:49 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (knee) said that his left knee was sore but fine Friday, Jan. 16. "I'm not concerned," Lacy said. "I'm chillin'."

Fantasy Tip: At this point, fantasy owners should be more concerned with the Packers' opponent Sunday than with the status of Lacy's knee. He is a safe bet to suit up, but he could struggle to produce against a Seattle defense that is firing on all cylinders. His $7,200 salary (14.4% of cap) at FantasyScore is far from appealing.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch probable against Packers

Fri, 16 Jan 2015 14:12:39 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (non-injury) practiced in full for the second straight day Friday, Jan. 16, and is probable for the NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers Sunday, Jan. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) is pretty much a no-brainer option at FantasyScore this weekend against the Packers. Can you really afford to pass Beast Mode up when the rest of your competition is likely to have him in their lineups?

Packers | Limited practice for Eddie Lacy

Fri, 16 Jan 2015 13:05:12 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (knee), who is probable for the NFC Championship game against the Seattle Seahawks, was limited in practice for the second straight day Friday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: The Packers were being overly cautious with Lacy this week, and he'll be fine to play against Seattle. However, for a FantasyScore price of $7,200 (14.4% of cap), he may not be the smartest play for your daily lineups this weekend against a stout Seahawks D.
