Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (foot) left practice Tuesday, Aug. 4, with a sore foot. RB James Starks finished out practice with the top unit. No indication was given as to which foot was sore and forced Lacy from workouts.
Fantasy Tip: Lacy managed 1,139 yards and nine touchdowns last year despite some subpar outings, and his loss would put a damper on the running game. Starks and RB's Rajion Neal and Alonzo Harris are the only other rushers available. Monitor this situation and see how it develops.

Green Bay Packers WR Ty Montgomery has impressed the coaching staff in the first few days of training camp, as head coach Mike McCarthy called Montgomery "strong, very powerful, obviously gifted" following a weekend workout.
Fantasy Tip: As previous tips have suggested, Montgomery may not get much of a chance to start right away in weekly leagues, but leagues with keeper spots may benefit from Montgomery's presence.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers and Andrew Quarless are expected to both see an adequate amount of playing time this year. Rodgers may have more promise, but neither should be taken as a starting fantasy tight end.

Green Bay Packers WR Ty Montgomery was a standout in the team's first full-pads practice of training camp Saturday, Aug. 1. Montgomery showed his speed on an end around early in practice and as the No. 1 kickoff returner. He also made an acrobatic catch in which he out jumped fellow rookie CB LaDarius Gunter.
Fantasy Tip: Montgomery is a member of a very talented and crowded receiving corps in Green Bay. He won't begin the 2015 season with much fantasy value in standard leagues, but he should be a target for owners in keeper/dynasty leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Quarless is expected to compete for the starting tight end job during training camp. He recorded only 323 receiving yards last season and had three touchdowns. Quarless likely should be avoided in drafts this season since he probably will not have a big role in the offense.

Fantasy Tip: Quarless has value in 2015 as a TE2 or an occasional matchup play best reserved for FantasyScore daily action.

Green Bay Packers TE Andrew Quarless has not reported to training camp, and the Packers still don't know when he will do so. Head coach Mike McCarthy said Quarless is dealing with a difficult family situation and that he'll be gone as long as he needs to be. Quarless was arrested and charged earlier this month for firing a gun, but that seems to be unrelated to his current situation.
Fantasy Tip: Until Quarless reports, Richard Rodgers should see plenty of time with the first team. Rodgers and Quarless could end up forming a committee at tight end. Neither are worth selecting as your starting fantasy tight end.
