Sun, 22 Jan 2017 11:04:22 -0800

Fantasy Tip: Michael probably will only receive a handful of touches during the game and can be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Packers | Geronimo Allison in uniform

Sun, 22 Jan 2017 11:02:00 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) is officially active for the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Allison did not practice this week, so it is not known how much playing time he will receive in the championship game. He can be a flex option for owners if he has a role in the passing game, but owners may want to look for other options to use.

Packers | Davante Adams officially active

Sun, 22 Jan 2017 10:58:18 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) is officially active for the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Adams has caught 13 passes for 201 yards and one touchdown in the first two playoff games and should see a good amount of targets against the Falcons. He should be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues this week.

Packers | Jordy Nelson will play vs. Atlanta

Sun, 22 Jan 2017 10:56:39 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (ribs) is officially active for the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Nelson is expected to wear extra padding to protect his injured ribs, but he could still be limited because of the severity of the injury. He will be a risky option for fantasy owners but could be a No. 2 receiver in some leagues.

Packers | Jordy Nelson to wear extra padding

Sun, 22 Jan 2017 08:21:07 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (ribs), who is expected to play in the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, Jan. 22, ordered military-grade Kevlar padding to protect his fractured ribs, according to multiple sources.

Fantasy Tip: Nelson was a limited participant in two of the team's three practice sessions during the week and is listed as questionable on the injury report. He should be viewed as a risky WR2 option in playoff fantasy pools, assuming he is active for Sunday's contest.

Packers | Geronimo Allison to suit up?

Sat, 21 Jan 2017 23:19:34 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) is expected to be available for the team's NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons barring any setbacks during pre-game workouts, according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: Unlike Jordy Nelson or Davante Adams, Allison has no history of playing hurt in the NFL, and if those two are up he could find himself in a marginalized role. The team could also scratch Allison rather than risk activating three injured wideouts that could suffer setbacks. Unless Allison is active in lieu of Nelson or Adams it's hard to advocate him as anything more than a desperation play.

Packers | Davante Adams expected to be available

Sat, 21 Jan 2017 23:11:44 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) will likely be available to play against the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 22, barring a setback during pre-game warmups, according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: Adams played through an ankle injury for much of 2015, and the results weren't pretty. He said earlier in the week he wouldn't be "playing like last year," but he relies on an excellent release to compensate for less-than-ideal speed. And an ankle injury on turf isn't the most stable situation. Still, if he takes the field Adams could be a risky third receiver.

Packers | Jordy Nelson likely to be cleared

Sat, 21 Jan 2017 23:04:44 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (ribs) is expected to be available for the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons barring any setbacks in pre-game workouts, according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: Nelson's return should be a boost for Green Bay's passing game, though clearly there's risk in slotting him into your lineup given the chance for him to aggravate the injury. That being said, given the other receivers are dealing with leg injuries, Nelson might be the safest Packers receiver this side of Randall Cobb. If he's active he becomes a risk/reward WR2.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers thriving when pressured

Sat, 21 Jan 2017 17:40:00 -0800

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has been under duress on 28.8 percent of his drop-backs this season but has posted a 71.8 QBR when getting pressured, the second-best mark this season and fourth-best since 2009.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers has been brilliant for most of the second half of the season and is playing at a level few, if any, have approached at the moment. He has done a wonderful job recently of combining excellent pocket presence with sound decision-making outside the pocket, posting a 24:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio over his last nine outings. He'll need to continue playing at a high level Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, as most of his usual supporting cast is hurting.
