Green Bay Packers LB Sam Barrington has been called the solution to the team's problems at inside linebacker, and after entering the starting lineup late last year, he recorded double-digit tackles in three of the last four games. "You could see him grow every week," defensive coordinator Dom Capers said. "As a signal caller, he'd make his calls with confidence. Once he recognized something, he could go from point A to point B. He's got some quick twitch to him."

Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers could see more playing time in 2015, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. Rodgers played 528 snaps, while fellow TE Andrew Quarless played 695 snaps. Demovsky said he wouldn't be surprised if those numbers reversed this season.
Fantasy Tip: Rodgers may see an increased role, but there's still Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Davante Adams to account for, not to mention another tight end in Quarless. There are a lot of mouths to feed in Green Bay, and Rodgers will feed his receivers first. Neither Rodgers nor Quarless are starter worthy.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and any Packer with at least six years of experience were excused early from practice Thursday, June 18. Head coach Mike McCarthy said he was pleased with the output they had given and that those who were excused early were still involved with the strength and conditioning and meetings portions of practice.
Fantasy Tip: This isn't too big of a deal, especially on the last day of minicamp. Rodgers and the rest of the veterans should be ready to go once training camp begins in late July. Consider him a top-three fantasy quarterback in 2015.

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers first-round pick CB Damarious Randall's four-year rookie deal is worth a maximum of $7,915,728. Randall's guaranteed money totals $6,401,310, including a signing bonus of $4,016,728.

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams has received significant praise from head coach Mike McCarthy and teammates for his development. "I think Davante has done a great job in the strength and conditioning. He's been really, really good in practice throughout this deal. Davante, if you wanted me to pick an MVP or an all-star, he would definitely be atop the list," McCarthy noted.
Fantasy Tip: Adams could be a polarizing fantasy player leading into the season. There is oodles of upside, and he is attached to a prolific offense. However, the Packers have a lot of mouths to feed, as Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and the running backs will see the majority of targets and touches. The week-to-week production from Adams could be maddeningly inconsistent. Still, an injury to Nelson or Cobb could turn Adams into a fantasy star. Expect his fantasy stock to rise through the summer, and he could be a risky fantasy selection in the early middle rounds.

Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers has progressed and taken a natural step forward, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. "You look at the way he performed Week 1 compared to how he performed the last stretch of the season. Now you have a chance to go back and look at all the video, it's a lot more natural for him. He's not thinking about what he's doing, he's obviously focusing more on his technique and fundamentals and his awareness of what the defense is doing."
Fantasy Tip: At this point, Rodgers should be viewed as nothing more than a low-end No. 2 tight end for drafts. He will compete with Andrew Quarless and sixth-round selection Kennard Backman for playing time. However, it shouldn't surprise if Rodgers makes the biggest splash in the virtual game. Expect weekly inconsistency, but in the right matchups, Rodgers could prove to be a nice budget flier for FantasyScore contests.

Green Bay Packers QB Matt Blanchard has looked well ahead of rookie QB Brett Hundley in the competition for the team's No. 3 quarterback job. "Matt Blanchard had a heck of a day today," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Tuesday, June 16. "I'll just tell you what I told him when I met him in April [at his workout]. I said, 'Why the hell don't you have a job?'" It's not guaranteed the Packers even keep a third quarterback out of training camp, but if they do Hundley may be the one they end up choosing based on his potential as a fifth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Green Bay Packers WR Ty Montgomery was a standout at minicamp practice Tuesday, June 16. Quarterbacks and receivers coach Alex Van Pelt said he was impressed with Montgomery's ability to retain the plays from rookie camp. Montgomery also caught a deep ball and exhibited his catch-and-run ability.
Fantasy Tip: Montgomery is hoping to join a crowded and talented group of wide receivers in Green Bay. It will likely take a couple of injuries before Montgomery can be considered as an option in either season-long leagues or FantasyScore.

Green Bay Packers TE Andrew Quarless has made strides this offseason, according to QB Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers said he thought something clicked for Quarless late last season and he's ready to take the next step.
Fantasy Tip: Quarless has had a pretty disappointing career so far, but it's promising that Rodgers has singled him out as someone who has impressed this offseason. Even if Quarless starts for the Packers, which he is expected to, he's not reliable enough to be drafted as a starting fantasy tight end.
