Packers | Ty Montgomery doubtful to suit up

Fri, 24 Nov 2017 14:06:51 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Ty Montgomery (ribs) missed practice for the third straight day Friday, Nov. 24, and he is being considered doubtful to play in the team's Week 12 game Sunday, Nov. 26, against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Montgomery missed Week 11, and considering he hasn't practiced all week, it seems like there's no chance he plays on Sunday night. Aaron Jones (knee) is also set to miss this week's contest, so Jamaal Williams will be the guy to own from Green Bay's backfield, but that's more volume-based than anything else. He's logged more than 20 carries in each of his last two games.

Packers | Ty Montgomery, Aaron Jones still out

Thu, 23 Nov 2017 11:17:40 -0800

Green Bay Packers RBs Ty Montgomery (ribs) and Aaron Jones (knee) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Montgomery and Jones are long shots to play this week, meaning Jamaal Williams will get another crack at being the Packers' featured running back. He's a fringe RB2 or flex consideration in a rough matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Packers | Aaron Jones misses practice

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 14:38:37 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) remained sidelined at practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Both Jones and Ty Montgomery didn't play last week, paving the way for Jamaal Williams to be featured in Green Bay's backfield. It's looking like that may be the case this week as well, but check on Jones and Montgomery before kickoff this weekend. If they are out, Williams will be a viable starter once again.

Packers | Ty Montgomery remains sidelined

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 09:22:54 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Ty Montgomery (ribs) not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Although Montgomery's injury isn't believed to be serious, he's off to a bad start in a race to get cleared for Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers after sitting out last week. With Aaron Jones also sidelined and Devante Mays fumbling on his first carry in Week 11, it looks like Jamaal Williams will have the backfield mostly to himself in a bad matchup. Consider Williams an unexciting flex play in Week 12.

Packers | Aaron Jones arrested last month

Mon, 20 Nov 2017 09:14:43 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) was arrested Oct. 1, and faces several charges stemming from a traffic stop in which he admitted to smoking marijuana. Jones has pleaded not guilty to counts of speeding, driving without a valid license and operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in his system, according to Wisconsin court records.

Fantasy Tip: Jones is expected to miss two to five more weeks with an MCL injury in his knee. Jamaal Williams is an RB2 in Jones and Ty Montgomery's (ribs) absence.

Packers | Brett Hundley remaining starter

Mon, 20 Nov 2017 07:33:22 -0800

Green Bay Packers QB Brett Hundley will remain the starter after turning it over four times in Week 11, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

Fantasy Tip: Hundley isn't an option against the Pittsburgh Steelers in standard leagues next week, and he's a rough QB2 in dual-QB leagues.

Packers | Jordy Nelson held in check

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 14:02:38 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson caught two passes for 24 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Nelson has been a disappointing fantasy option for owners over the last month. He has recorded at least 50 yards in only one of his last six games. Owners should consider keeping Nelson on the bench until he has a productive game.

Packers | Randall Cobb finishes with 34 yards

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 13:59:22 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb caught three passes for 34 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Cobb has caught three or fewer passes in four of the last five games but has still been targeted 15 times over the last three games. Cobb can still be a flex option in some deeper leagues but can be benched if owners have better options available.

Packers | Davante Adams surpasses 100-yard mark

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 13:54:02 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams caught eight passes for 128 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Adams appears to have a good chemistry with Brett Hundley and has at least 90 yards in each of the last two games. He will be facing a solid Pittsburgh Steelers defense in Week 12 but can be a No. 3 receiver for owners.

Packers | Jamaal Williams has decent outing

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 13:51:26 -0800

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams rushed for 57 yards on 18 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11. He also caught four passes for 38 yards during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Williams received most of the work at running back and could see a similar workload in Week 12 if Ty Montgomery and Aaron Jones remain sidelined. He can be at least a flex option next week.

Packers | Brett Hundley struggles

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 13:44:29 -0800

Green Bay Packers QB Brett Hundley went 21-for-36 for 239 yards and three interceptions against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11. He also lost a fumble during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Hundley has not played well since taking over as the starting quarterback and will be facing the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12 if he keeps the job. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.
