Fantasy Tip: Weight issues and injuries have plagued Lacy in recent years, and despite some upside, he has become tough for fantasy owners to trust. Don't count on him being more than a flex option in 2017.

Impending free-agent RB Eddie Lacy is expected to get a one-year deal worth about $2 million was plenty of incentives in free agency this offseason, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette's Pete Dougherty.
Fantasy Tip: Dougherty received this information from an agent who has a client in the free-agent running back market, and it stands to reason. Lacy is a talented player, but weight struggles in each of the last two years has made it hard for the Green Bay Packers to trust him. It's hard to imagine Lacy landing a big contract anywhere else right now, so his best bet is probably to return to Green Bay on a prove-it deal. He'll be hard to trust as anything more than a flex option in fantasy, however.

Fantasy Tip: Adams still has the occasional drop, but he proved to be a valuable weapon for the passing attack, especially in the red zone. At worst, he should be a high-end WR3 in 2017.

Fantasy Tip: Cobb's numbers have fallen two years in a row. Granted, he has battled through injuries both seasons. The Packers have a couple of options developing at the position, and Davante Adams is in his walk year. Cobb will be a WR3 option with upside in fantasy in what will be a year he needs to make a statement.

Fantasy Tip: The move isn't out of the question, especially since Eddie Lacy will hit the free-agent market this offseason. The Packers could be thin at running back either way, and it's difficult to gauge any fantasy value with Starks gone and Lacy hitting free agency. Ty Montgomery may definitely play a role in Green Bay's backfield again. He's a mid-round option as a running back or receiver for 2017 fantasy drafts.

Fantasy Tip: Starks missed the last six games last season because of a concussion he suffered in a car crash. It's hard to believe he's done with football, but he may not have the same pep in his step as he did the previous two years.

Fantasy Tip: After missing all of last season recovering from knee surgery, Nelson led the NFL in receiving touchdowns. He is a WR1 in all formats heading into 2017.
Mon, 30 Jan 2017 17:16:57 -0800
Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson averaged 3.58 yards after the catch, which was his lowest average since his rookie season. He had either zero or minus yards after the catch on 41 of his 105 catches in 2016. He did finish with 15 touchdowns during the season.
Fantasy Tip: Nelson returned from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and was able to play in all 16 regular season games. He finished the regular season with 1,257 yards and 14 touchdowns and recorded 80 yards and one touchdown during the playoffs. Nelson should continue to be the main option in the passing game and can be a No. 1 receiver for fantasy owners in 2017.

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb dropped only two of his 105 targets this season and led the team with a drop rate of 1.9 percent. Cobb also led the team with an average of 5.05 yards after the catch.
Fantasy Tip: Cobb dealt with an injury near the end of the season and was limited to 610 yards and four touchdowns during the regular season. He was able to post 260 yards and three touchdowns in three postseason games. Cobb will continue to be one of the team's starting receivers in 2017 and can be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.
