Fantasy Tip: Ameer Abdullah ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) faces a tough Seattle Seahawks defense but is worth consideration for your flex on FantasyScore.

Detroit Lions OT Laken Tomlinson may start at left guard in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks. OG Manuel Ramirez could then move to right guard, where OG Larry Warford usually starts. Warford is dealing with an ankle injury and has not performed well this year.

Detroit Lions RB Zach Zenner could be in for a bigger role Monday, Oct. 5, against the Seattle Seahawks with RB Joique Bell (ankle) suffering from an ankle injury. Bell did not practice Saturday, Oct. 3, and could miss the Lions' Week 4 outing. Head coach Jim Caldwell gave Zenner a vote of confidence, saying if Zenner does play, he won't have any problem knowing what he's doing.
Fantasy Tip: Bell ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) has sputtered, to say the least, to start the season. Put the ankle injury on top of that, and Zenner ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) could be in for a decent amount of playing time. That being said, he's still not a great start in seasonal or daily leagues.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Bell ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) may be inactive for the Week 4 game against the Seattle Seahawks, so owners should look for other options. Ameer Abdullah ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) and Theo Riddick ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) likely would see more playing time if Bell misses the game. They will be facing a tough Seahawks defense, but Abdullah would have more fantasy value and could be a solid starting option despite the matchup.

Fantasy Tip: Bell ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) will probably be questionable and could be a game-time decision. Because the game is on Monday, that basically rules him out as a sound choice on FantasyScore or any other league. Ameer Abdullah ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) is lined up to see even more work if Bell doesn't play, but against a stout Seahawks unit on the road, he's not very attractive, either.

Detroit Lions TE Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring) did not practice Friday, Oct. 2. DE Ziggy Ansah (groin), LB DeAndre Levy (hip), OT Corey Robinson (ankle) and CB Josh Wilson (leg) were limited, while OG Larry Warford (ankle) practiced in full.

Detroit Lions DE Ziggy Ansah (groin) and TE Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 1. LB DeAndre Levy (hip), OT Corey Robinson (ankle) and CB Josh Wilson (leg) were limited, while OG Larry Warford (ankle) practiced in full.

Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell (ankle) missed practice with an ankle injury Thursday, Oct. 1, and DetroitLions.com's Tim Twentyman hinted that that could mean more usage of RB Ameer Abdullah in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Fantasy Tip: Bell ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) scored a touchdown last week, but he was unlikely to be a strong pick on FantasyScore this Monday night on the road against the tough Seattle Seahawks defense. The injury adds even more shakiness to his profile. Abdullah ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) is more intriguing because of his ability to catch passes out of the backfield in the event Detroit needs to play catchup. However, you may want to avoid all of Detroit's offense in daily games.

The Detroit Lions and QB Matthew Stafford have the No. 27-ranked offense in the league after three weeks, averaging only 305 total yards per game. The Lions' rushing offense is currently last in the league and is averaging just 45 yards per game. The passing game is ranked 12th at 260 yards per game.
Fantasy Tip: It certainly won't get any easier for Detroit this Monday night on the road against a Seattle Seahawks defense that is much better with the return of Kam Chancellor. It's wise to fade Stafford ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) on FantasyScore and downgrade the rest of Detroit's offensive weapons this week.

Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi will remain the play caller on offense despite the Lions' recent struggles, according to head coach Jim Caldwell. "It's not an easy fix," Caldwell said. "It takes work and I think we're on the right track. I just think that we obviously, we're just kind of missing a little bit here or there which is kind of enough to slow us down." Caldwell also said that he believes the issue lies in execution.
Fantasy Tip: There have been big plays here and there for the Lions, as Caldwell indicated, but their ability to spread the field with deep plays has been lacking. Again, Detroit's offensive starters are risky plays on the road against the Seattle Seahawks.

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson has only been thrown to deeper than 15 yards three times since the third quarter of Week 1. On the season, QB Matthew Stafford has only made 14 attempts of passes 15 yards or more. "There [have] been routes that have been called that are deep routes and those kinds of things," head coach Jim Caldwell said. "Sometimes it just doesn't happen."
Fantasy Tip: Perhaps the constant pressure on Stafford is causing him to release the ball quicker, thus decreasing deep ball attempts. The Lions need to block better and run the ball better if they want to see more success down the field. This week, Johnson, Stafford and company are risky options considering their recent struggles and a tough matchup in Seattle.

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate said in each of the first three games this season he has had opponents tell him they knew the plays that were being called. "I don't know how they know or what film they're watching that we're giving away," Tate said. "That's something we got to go back and watch our tendencies to figure out where we line up or how we line up or what formation or whatever it may be."
Fantasy Tip: The Lions are one of four teams currently at 0-3, and what has usually been a high-flying offense has sputtered so far. Tate ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) is risky on FantasyScore this week playing on the road versus the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: A road game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4 doesn't stand as a slump-busting matchup, and Stafford ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) checks out a fringe QB1 for seasonal leagues with a lot of risk attached. He has the weapons, but the run game hasn't been able to help Stafford and the vertical attack. In fact, Detroit ranks last in the league with just 135 rushing yards this season. FantasyScore players should view Stafford as a contrarian flier for Week 4 contests.
