Fantasy Tip: A source indicated Reggie Bush (ankle) is likely to be rested again, so Bell would be the top back. George Winn and Theo Riddick could also see carries, but Bell is the best option and he has great hands out of the backfield. In FantasyScore leagues, Bell is a steal at $4,700 (or 9.4 percent of the cap).

Fantasy Tip: A source said Calvin Johnson (ankle) is likely to sit again, so Tate would be the No. 1 wideout against a leaky Atlanta pass defense. A trip to the end zone and triple-digit yardage total is a good possibility. At $6,900 (or 13.8 percent of the cap), Tate is a sound investment.

Fantasy Tip: With Bush likely to be sidelined, look for Joique Bell to have a big role Sunday, making him a tremendous FantasyScore play at $4,700 (or 9.4 percent of the cap).

Updating a previous report, Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) is unlikely to play in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons in London, according to a source. The team has a bye in Week 9, and head coach Jim Caldwell is reportedly looking at the big picture.
Fantasy Tip: The Lions are expected to be cautious with Megatron since the team has a bye, and two more weeks to rest rather than putting him out there and possibly having him aggravate his injury again. Fantasy owners will want to play it safe and keep him reserved, or avoid him in FantasyScore. There is just too much risk with Johnson, and the game has a special 9:30am EST start to complicate matters. The absence of Johnson is good news for Golden Tate ($6,900 or 13.8 percent of the cap), as the Falcons pass defense presents another favorable matchup.

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) will truly be a game-time decision against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8 in London. Johnson was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. "He did work yesterday. I thought he did a pretty good job, but we'll see where he is today," head coach Jim Caldwell said of Johnson before Friday's practice.
Fantasy Tip: You'll have to wake up extra early to see if Megatron is playing, with the London game set for an early start Sunday morning. It's wise to avoid Johnson at FantasyScore for a hefty price tag of $7,500 (15.0% of cap) at FantasyScore. You shouldn't expect more than WR3 numbers with the team's bye next week.

Detroit Lions general manager Martin Mayhew said he's not likely to make any moves before the trade deadline Tuesday, Oct. 28. Mayhew has made three deadline trades since taking over in 2008. The Lions have struggled on offense, but at 5-2, they're not in desperation mode anywhere.

Detroit Lions TE Joseph Fauria (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons in London. TE Brandon Pettigrew (foot) is doubtful. OT LaAdrian Waddle (concussion) is questionable, while DE Ziggy Ansah (toe) and RB Theo Riddick (hamstring) are probable. Fauria and Pettigrew didn't practice Friday, Oct. 24. Ansah was limited, while Waddle and Riddick practiced in full.

Updating a previous report, Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons in London. TE Joseph Fauria (ankle) is also out, and TE Brandon Pettigrew (foot) is listed as doubtful.
Fantasy Tip: The Lions will be down to their fourth and fifth string tight ends in London in Jordan Thompson and Kellen Davis, who they recently signed. Neither are viable options for any fantasy football lineups.

Detroit Lions OT LaAdrian Waddle (concussion) returned to practice Friday, Oct. 24, and he said he did everything in practice. However, he's still unsure if he'll play in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons, and he's listed as questionable for the game. "I'm feeling good," Waddle said. "Came out here, did some stuff today. Go back, do some more tests and stuff like that and see how it feels later on in the day and we'll see where we go from here." Waddle wasn't sure he suffered a concussion in Week 7, and he said he didn't inform the doctors of his condition at the end of the game. Head coach Jim Caldwell said doctors will determine if Waddle will suit up Sunday, Oct. 26.

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson has a $20 million salary cap number in 2015, and it escalates to $24 million in 2016. The team is more likely to address the contract in 2016, rather than 2015, because of the potential of $12.921 million in dead money, in the opinion of writer Joel Corry.

Fantasy Tip: Johnson ($7,500; 15% of your cap) probably won't play if the team sticks to its stance they'll hold him out until he's 100%. They have a slew of injuries, though, so it's not out of the question that he plays this weekend. However, he's not a good buy on FantasyScore this week.

Fantasy Tip: Bush ($6,000; 12% of your cap) said he'd play, but this designation is concerning. There are a lot of factors in play as the Lions could be without their top three tight ends, and Calvin Johnson (ankle) is a question mark. He has struggled this season, and Joique Bell ($4,700; 9.4%), Theo Riddick ($3,000; 6%) and George Winn ($3,000; 6%) have played well. The team has a bye next week and could opt to sit Bush. Our gut tells us he could play in a limited role. Either way, his price tag on FantasyScore is probably too high for the amount of risk.
