Fantasy Tip: Sanders certainly looked close to 100 percent in his coming out party against the Houston Texans. He'll be a key weapon in the Broncos' passing attack this season and has low-end WR2 potential.

Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker (concussion) made another positive step Tuesday, Aug. 26, in his recovery from another concussion, according to head coach John Fox. Welker has still not been ruled out for Week 1.
Fantasy Tip: At this rate it wouldn't be a surprise if Welker suited up for Week 1. He's still somewhat of a risky option with the accrued concussions, but is still definitely worth a look as part of the Broncos' potent offense.

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos PK Matt Prater has been in the NFL's substance abuse program since being charged with driving under the influence in 2011. Prater reportedly consumed two beers between the end of the Broncos' offseason program and the beginning of July's training camp. As previously reported, Prater is suspended for the first four games of the 2014 season after initially facing a season-long suspension.

Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker (concussion) could play in the team's regular season opener Sunday, September 7, if he does not have any concussion symptoms by Monday, September 1. Head coach John Fox iterated that the team's primary focus is Welker's safety.
Fantasy Tip: Welker's status certainly sounds more positive than in previous days. It seems that the worst case scenario at this point is that Welker could miss the season opener against the Colts. Stay tuned.

The Denver Broncos likely will sign a kicker before the start of the regular season to fill in while PK Matt Prater serves his four-game suspension. The team may wait until teams make their final roster cuts before adding a kicker. PK Mitch Ewald is the only other kicker on the roster.

Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker (concussion) has a good chance to play in Week 1, according to Mike Klis of The Denver Post. Welker suffered a concussion in the team's third preseason game, but his "concussion helmet" helped absorb the blow.
Fantasy Tip: His status still needs to be monitored leading up to the team's opener against Indianapolis, but it looks like he could be ready to go. Welker is a solid WR3 in standard formats and a WR2 in PPR leagues. If Welker misses time, Emmanuel Sanders could see a bump in his value.
