Fantasy Tip: If Siemian is officially named the starter, he will take the reins of an offense with plenty of weapons and could be worth a look in two-quarterback leagues.

Denver Broncos WR Bennie Fowler (elbow) showed up at practice Wednesday, Aug. 24, without a brace on his right elbow for the first time since fracturing it in a preseason game against the Chicago Bears two weeks ago. He was able to do some running before practice. He and the team are shooting for a return for the regular season opener Thursday, Sept. 8, against the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Tip: Fowler had a nice summer and was believed to be making great strides toward being the No. 3 receiver behind Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders before the injury. For now, he should only be treated as a WR5 in deeper fantasy leagues.

Denver Broncos TE Jeff Heuerman (hamstring) has missed most of the past week of practice due to a hamstring injury and he is unlikely to play in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 27, against the Los Angeles Rams. "I'm concerned because we're counting on him a great deal, but more so his ability to stay healthy and stay on the field," head coach Gary Kubiak said Wednesday, Aug. 24. "Last year he went through the issues; he's had hamstring issues throughout OTAs. He was on a pretty good rolle there, and here we go again."
Fantasy Tip: Heuerman was considered a co-No. 1 tight end with Virgil Green entering camp, but he likely has slipped to No. 2 status since he hasn't been on the field to contribute. Avoid him for fantasy purposes unless he is able to return and make a big splash sooner rather than later.

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) returned to practice Wednesday, August 24, and took about 80% of his typical workload. He's expected to start his second straight preseason game Saturday, August 27.
Fantasy Tip: Siemian is the favorite right now to land the starting quarterback job in Denver, so it was important he got back on the field as soon as possible after sitting out practice on Tuesday. Given the weapons he gets to work with in this offense, Siemian could have some value to offer if he indeed emerges as the starter, but owners would be wise to wait before plugging him in to see how the former seventh-round pick pans out early on.

Denver Broncos QB Paxton Lynch has drawn rave reviews from some personnel people around the NFL, including two that believe he'll be the best quarterback in this year's draft class, according to NFL.com's Lance Zierlein.
Fantasy Tip: Opportunity is there for the taking in Denver, and with Lynch clearly the preferred long-term option it wouldn't be surprising to see them roll the dice on the rookie -- perhaps sooner than later. His fantasy prospects for 2016 are still modest, but you want might want to stick him on your watch list in case the praise isn't simply hyperbole.

Denver Broncons QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) did not practice Tuesday, Aug. 23, as he is nursing a sore shoulder. Siemian did, however, lead the Broncos in first-team running drills. The second-year quarterback is still expected to start Saturday, Aug. 27, against the Los Angeles Rams.
Fantasy Tip: The Broncos are in the classic scenario of picking the least destructive option among their quarterbacks. If Siemian plays well enough this weekend, he could lock up the starting gig, at least for Week 1. That being said, he's a bye-week replacement even if he does hold onto the job.

Denver Broncos QB Paxton Lynch has done some good things in training camp and the preseason, throwing for 187 yards with two touchdowns while completing 21 of his 33 throws. However, he has also taken six sacks in his limited preseason game action.
Fantasy Tip: Lynch is a rookie and there will be growing pains, but he is clearly the future in Denver. He might not start immediately, and could even be the No. 3 early on. For fantasy purposes he has very little appeal in redraft leagues to start, but he is a decent option in long-term keeper formats.
