Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman continues to run with confidence in the absence of RB Montee Ball (groin), and Ball will likely find it hard to win his starting job back when he's healthy. He showed impressive footwork and showed breakaway speed in the team's Week 8 win over the San Diego Chargers Thursday, Oct. 23, and he could have easily finished with two touchdowns.
Fantasy Tip: Hillman is quickly becoming a must-start in all fantasy leagues in this high-powered offense. It was frustrating to see Juwan Thompson vulture two goal-line touchdowns from Hillman, but that shouldn't deter you from starting Hillman in the future.

Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker had just two catches for five yards on two targets in Week 8, and he's averaging just 36 yards per game this year, which is less than half his average (77) in the last seven seasons.
Fantasy Tip: Welker's usage in the offense is at an all-time low. With other more explosive and athletic weapons in the aerial game at Peyton Manning's disposal, Welker is mainly used for key third-down conversions. He's a weak flex play in deeper leagues moving forward.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like the Broncos are comfortable using Thompson around the goal line, but with Ronnie Hillman receiving a bulk of the carries, Thompson is a touchdown-dependent fantasy option and a major gamble at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: After a couple of quiet games, Sanders bounced back with his best game of the season. He has been excellent in his first year in Denver, and at his current $6,200 salary (12.4% of cap), Sanders is a bargain at FantasyScore compared to many of the receivers in his price range.

Denver Broncos TE Julius Thomas is not expected to have contract extension talks with the team during the season. Thomas will be a free agent this offseason, and the two sides are expected to talk after the season.
Fantasy Tip: Thomas has a big role in the passing game and already has nine touchdowns on the season. Thomas has a price of $7,100 on FantasyScore but is worth the money if an owner is willing to spend it.

Fantasy Tip: McManus likely will receive several chances to try field goals and extra points and is a solid starting option.

Fantasy Tip: Ronnie Hillman probably will continue to receive most of the work at running back while Ball is out, but Juwan Thompson will also receive some playing time. Hillman costs $5,500 on FantasyScore and is a solid starting option for owners.

Fantasy Tip: McManus is expected to be fine for Thursday night against the San Diego Chargers. After kicking six extra points in Week 7, McManus is likely to see a few field goal attempts against the Bolts. He'll cost $2,800 (5.6% of cap) at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Ball won't be available on the short week against the San Diego Chargers. Ronnie Hillman has really stepped up in his absence. He's still relatively cheap enough at FantasyScore ($5,500; 11.0% of cap) to turn a profit.
